Ambient Weather WH31L Lightning Detector for Models WS-2000, WS-5000
Here in the NE, we have not had any storms since the Lightning Detector was installed up on the roof. HOWEVER, last week, I noted there was ONE lighting strike on the console display screen. 21 miles away and around 2AM in the morning. I was talking to a friend who lives about that far from me and he was woken out of bed by a huge thunder clap ! Needless to say, I am impressed so far at how accurate it seems to be.

Once installed it seems to be working flawlessly. Assembly and setup directions and processes could use some serious improvement though.

Ambient Weather WS-2902-WV-ASSEMBLY Replacement Wind Direction Assembly, WS-1900, WS-2000, WS-2902, WS-2902A
I replaced old wind direction with new one. It would also not show any directional changes. Got a new entire assembly and that is working fine. Guessing the orignal motherboard lost it's directional circuit

I already had an Ambient Weather camera. I love it so I purchased one for my best friend here in Houston and for my sun-in-law in San Diego. I help my friend set up his this week. It was certainly difficult to download the ambient camera app onto his Mac. Kept saying there was no certificate. Yes, I had allowed it past the firewall, but still no luck. So I download it to my windows laptop computer and set it up from there. He is thrilled it shows on his dashboard, but it has not been approved yet for sharing. Thank you for the nice addition to our weather stations. I had gifted both weather stations to my friend and my son-in-law in past years. Now I know what to get them when the holidays come around, another addition to their weather station. Best, Kerry

Ambient Weather WS-2902 Smart Weather Station with WiFi Remote Monitoring and Alerts & Thermo Hygrometer
Station is easy to assemble and install. More accurate than the other brand station I had before. My only complaint so far is the display is not readable if you're not within a few feet of it and directly in front of it.

Ambient Weather WS-2902 Smart Weather Station with WiFi Remote Monitoring and Alerts & Thermo Hygrometer
Packaged well, easy to assemble. Install was a little dicey due to it being installed 40' above ground level on the side of a building. I did have to go through the console connection twice, but that was my fault. I reset the console and the second time worked well. I haven't got Weather Underground running yet, but I'm pretty sure that is probably a typo on my part. This was a donation to our local fire department and I'll probably buy another to replace my personal station later on this year.
