My very old array was showing its age and then broke in a storm. The WS-2902 replacement array looks great and synced effortlessly with my console.

Has been doing precisely what it is supposed to do.

Works as advertised. Very easy to set up and easy to use. Within minutes you are up and running..

Had to bring unit down off of roof to replace part. Luckily, changed right before snow came down.

Fast shipping and it works great

I liked it so much that, after several years usage my first unit showed some malfunction, I went back and got a replacement unit of the same type. It gives me the info I am looking for.

After a brief delay, the cups arrived, well-packaged. Finding them on the website took a bit, but contacting support helped find them quickly. I don’t understand transit times for shipping (used to Amazon speeds) but here we are …

Moved to a more rural location and I needed a station that could operate over a longer distance than the previous unit: A WS-2902A setup in a suburban setting. Note: the WS-2902 replaced the previous WS-1080. The WS-5000 was chosen for its advertised 1,000 feet range; the fact that the rain gauge can be setup separately from the main sensor, and has a large selection of additional sensors. The rain gauge is mounted on a 1-1/4” five foot pole in the backyard. There it can be easily accessed and maintained. Along with the standard indoor sensor I have included a second indoor sensor to monitor information an any other interior room; a lightning detector (to measure my dogs lightning sense); an outdoor PM2.5 sensor, plus three individual freezers sensors for my wife.

Temporarily I have the outdoor sensor mounted on a 10 foot mast on a movable base to locate a good location that is in the clear and as far as I can get away from the house to get an accurate reading. So far I am only able to get a distance of 83 feet before the signal strength fades away. That is nowhere near the 1,000 foot specification. Only thing between the console and the outdoor sensor is one brick wall. I just need to go out 150 feet to my ideal open air location. I need to find a solution to this range issue to make this a perfect setup. My goal is to mount the outdoor sensor on a 30 foot mast for a more accurate reading. I’m connected to all the following services to monitor readings: Ambient Weather Network, Weather Underground, CWOP, FindU, MADIS, MesoWest, Gladstone, QC, and NWS.

I can only give four stars due to the distance issue. Maybe the 30 foot height will allow for a greater distance. Other than that the WS-5000 is a fantastic weather station. The measured accuracy of all the sensors provide accurate readings compared to the older WS-1080 and WS-2902 staions, Even the rain gauge measures very close to the 4” Stratus Rain Gauge used for CoCoRaHS. So far its been +/- 0.01” of the Stratus Rain Gauge.

Being a freezer thermometer, the app needs to have alarms.

Excellent

We love our new weather station. Now we know how much rain we got and how high the humidity is out there before we step out of the door

Delivered and received very fast. I’m very pleased how easy it was to install work very good. Thanks

Everything good with the weather station
Take Xtra time with the instruction book and setup.

Quick delivery. Quality product. Easy to install

My weather station is again working as it should after replacing the WE-500 ARRAY temperature unit. The original unit sumply gave out after about 3 years use.

Excellent product and app.

Ordered a replacement wind cup assembly for my older WS2902. It was in stock, shipped the next day and arrived in a few days. Price was reasonable. Nice to be able to get my weather station up and running in a few days.

Overall, the WS-4000 is a marvel of engineering, works well, and I like it. However, the haptic rain sensor is extremely difficult to calibrate: different calibration factors for different rain rates make it very time consuming and frustrating.

Have not installed it yet

Wasn't sure this was what I needed but it turned out to be exactly what I needed. Somehow the original cover has fallen off and couldn't be located.
