Ambient Weather WS-2902 Home Weather Station with WiFi Remote Monitoring and Alerts & Thermo Hygrometer
The main reason we wanted to buy this was to monitor the wind speed, but we feel it consistently reads low.

Ambient Weather WS-2000 Smart Weather Station with WiFi Remote Monitoring and Alerts & Thermo Hygrometer
This is our second Ambient weather station. We installed this unit at our vacation property so we could monitor weather and other conditions there. Works great just like our home unit.

Ambient Weather WS-2902-THERMOHYGRO-ASSEMBLY Replacement Thermo-Hygrometer Assembly, WS-1900, WS-2000, WS-2902, WS-2902A
This part was what we needed to keep our system running properly. Fairly quick install, only issue is awkward location of tiny screws inside. My husband said he had to be very careful as to not drop them and have them roll down the roof.

Ambient Weather WS-2000 Smart Weather Station with WiFi Remote Monitoring and Alerts & Thermo Hygrometer
Switched over to an Ambient WS-2000 unit from a Acurite Atlas. Atlas sensor kept breaking after 1 year, and was sick and tired of replacing parts because it was out of warranty. Only had this installed for about a week, but it’s such a great system. Love how I can call Ambient if I have any questions vs chatting only with Acurite. You won’t be sorry with this purchase

Ambient Weather WS-5000-IP3 Ultrasonic Professional Smart Weather Station with Remote Monitoring and Alerts
I attached it to a a 21' long sched 40 pipe, 1-7/8" diameter, mounted to an upstairs balcony against the house to get it 10' above the roofline. Battery openings do not have rubber seals so I applied some silicon grease around the edge of the door. Connecting the bluetooth to the home network was the most time consuming part. System works great and it's connected to AWN and WU so I can access real-time data from my phone or laptop from anywhere. It would be nice if it had an electronic compass to determine magnetic north, rather than eyeballing it.

Ambient Weather WS-5000 Ultrasonic Professional Smart Weather Station & Thermo Hygrometer
I got this to have a few more options and some more precision. That all seems to be true. I had a rough time getting the data onto wunderground. I also don’t like that you need to run a wire for the wind sensor to not freeze in the winter. That should be a solar heater and not a plug in. Probably wouldn’t buy again for that one reason.

Just What I Needed!

What a relief to find that the replacement 'wind cups' we needed were available! Now I'm thinking I may need to mount our sensor equipment on a taller pole - where the ELK can't reach it!

Ambient Weather WS-5000 Ultrasonic Professional Smart Weather Station & Thermo Hygrometer
Purchased this WS-5000 after having a Davis Vantage Pro 2 after nearly 20 yrs. Davis finally priced me out when looking at new sensors. I am very satisfied with the quality of the equipment and measurements from the WS-5000. The larger catchment cone for rainfall, non moving parts with the acoustic wind sensor, and ability to easily upload data to all the usual sites (Wunderground and CWOP) made this an easy choice. The setup was a more in depth than some of the other newer sensors out there, but it was easy to figure out an took me about 2 hours to get it installed and running. It would be nice if the display was a touch screen, but on the other hand, I just go to my phone or online to look at the archived data, so no biggie. Overall, very happy with the WS-5000. I gave it a 4 star only because it tool a little longer to setup than some of the other stations on the market.
