Ambient Weather WH31L Lightning Detector for Models WS-2000, WS-5000
Reason for the 4 stars is that it gives a low battery warning after a week of operation. But I'm not going to worry about it. It still works plus I already tossed the box.

Easy to install and setup. Excellent printed instructions. Uploading your own weather station info to Ambientweather.net & Weather Underground makes viewing your station from PC or smart phone a big plus.

I like it. The user interface is well designed, much better than the Davis Instruments station I used before. It remains to be seen how well the rainfall gauge works; that has been a big problem with the Davis station.

Ambient Weather WH31L Lightning Detector for Models WS-2000, WS-5000
It took awhile for me to know if it worked. Here in the desert storms with lightning are rare this time of year. But detected and reported the few overnight strikes. I'd like it more if the data displaying lightning strike "distance" was included in the charts. New feature request !

Ambient Weather WS-5000 Ultrasonic Professional Smart Weather Station & Thermo Hygrometer
I've been a weather observer since 2003, as I like this fun time hobby.
I finally retired my Davis Vantage Pro after 17 years, not that it's in bad shape or doesn't work... Just hard to get parts for it and it just doesn't seem to be very accurate anymore.
Bought the WS-5000 after contemplating on buying a new weather station... But once I did and got it all set up, definitely impressed.
Really easy to set up both the outdoor sensors, interior sensors and the wifi. Definitely like not having to be hooked up to a laptop for exporting stats to like wunderground and/or Ambient weather.

Impressive system. Set up was straightforward. Have it set up on a temporary pole sitting on the picnic table for now while checking it out. Will need to erect a mast soon to mount it permanently. Everything good so far.

Good rain gauge. We had one before but broke it with the blinker bracket from the lawn mower. Missed the rain we had 2 days prior to this arriving.

Ambient Weather WS-1900-CONSOLE Console Only, WS-1900 Wireless Weather Station
I wanted to be able to monitor my weather station from 2 other rooms in the house so I bought 2 of these consoles. It's nice being able to see the readings with these extra consoles. Worth every penny.
