Ambient Weather WS-5000 Ultrasonic Professional Smart Weather Station & Thermo Hygrometer
I am relatively pleased so far.
Setting up the indoor console was a bit clunky.
Weather Underground did not recognize my station for several days, and the “WU” logo is still absent from my console screen. The Wunderground app is receiving my station data.
The Ambient logo is displaying as expected.

Ambient Weather WS-5000-RAINSPIKE Bird Spike Kit for WS-5000 Rain Gauge
This works, but oh boy be careful with those stainless steel zip ties. If you make a mistake, there's no going back (well I'll explain a work around at the bottom).
For the WS-5000 this comes in two boxes - yes two separate boxes with three sets of instructions (two different). None of which are exactly crystal clear. The photographs are really difficult to follow.
The kit is essentially a set of steel bands (with one way ratchets that cannot be reversed) and finicky black plastic belts with holes in them. You cobble all this together around the rain funnel. Then poke stainless steel spikes into the holes. And if you wish, bend the spikes over to help prevent birds nesting.
What needs to be crystal clear - step ONE, take one of the steel bands, thread on the black belts with the holes all on the same side. Put enough belts on to get over half way around the funnel. Check your work - are all the holes facing the same direction? Step TWO, now add a second band - slide the zip section up to the last belt. Step THREE, thread on enough belts to make it all the way around the funnel (you'll have some leftover). Check your work three times - make sure all the holes are facing the same direction. Step FOUR, now orient the assembly around the funnel and slip the free end of the steel band into the zip tie. I like really neat things, so I made sure the free band ends were slipped underneath the belt loops. Step FIVE, trim the longest band with a pair of side cutters. And now take needle nose pliers to twist the band super tight.
Step SIX, insert the stainless steel spikes into the holes. The spikes bend pretty easily with a pair of needle nose pliers, hold the spike just below where you'll do the bend. Oddly, the instruction pictures show exactly how to do the bends.
Now the trick - I did this twice. If you've accidentally inserted the bands into the zip ties, or you messed up with the belt orientation, you can cut the bands and save the day. Because there are two spare zip bands, this works. Study the bands that are incorrectly joined, cut one of the bands at exactly the spot it exits the zip mechanism (not the side with the little tab). You can now slip the band out of the zip mechanism (push the factory loose end through the zip mechanism). You'll end up with one band a bit short, and the other full factory length. Even if you make two mistakes, there are two spare bands, so you can still use the kit.
I've used bird spikes from a lot from a lot of different companies. I've never seen anything as finicky to put together as this. I expected bird spikes that used some kind of adhesive around the funnel. It seems like what Ambient came up with will last a long time and really stick to the funnel. It's just really strange. Honestly, the better approach would have been to just mold the holes in the perimeter of the funnel.

All around a good addition to the station.. Only thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars is the update frequency that information is sent to the weather station since I live in an area of the country where storm are common this time of year.

Ambient Weather WS-2902 Smart Weather Station with WiFi Remote Monitoring and Alerts & Thermo Hygrometer
Replaced my WS-1400 which had been in service since about 2013. Setup was extremely easy. I particularly like the included display unit, that I can refer to at a glance, without having to access the internet. Lots of bang for the buck! The only reason I haven't given it a 5-Star Rating, is that it has only been in service for a month. Very satisfied so far!

Great weather station and easy setup. Setting it up to broadcast to the internet took a few tries, but once I had the correct app it was simple. Really neat to get real time weather beyond temperature and humidity. I have been using this for a month now and have had no connectivity issues!

Fast delivery. Works great! Easy to configure for numerous weather networks. Having a problem getting the solar reading to Weather Display. although I think it is a WD issue not the Weatherbridge.

Ambient Weather WS-5000 Ultrasonic Professional Smart Weather Station & Thermo Hygrometer
The Ambient WS-5000 is reliable, easy to install and is a quality product well worth its cost. With its remote sensors (optional), I have the temperature/humidity and soil moisture units, the additional data is a welcomed value addition. The 4.9 sec wind updates is great and the color display is the frosting on the cake.
So if you are a weather geek like I am, use your recent government relief check to buy this weather station. You won't be disappointed.

I’m on my 3rd weather station now and I wish I would have chosen Ambient sooner. The quality of the equipment is much better and the telemetry and data is richer. Support is a lot better too. Definitely the right choice for me.
