Ambient Weather WS-2000 Smart Weather Station with WiFi Remote Monitoring and Alerts & Thermo Hygrometer
Having been a customer of a major competitor for many years, I was initially a little skeptical. However, I am very impressed with the quality and user experience of the console and ambientweather.net interactions. I had some initial difficulties getting my console to sync, but tech support was quickly able to walk me through the settings to establish communication. I am a fan! Great job on a great product and customer experience. BTW - the accompanying manual was really good too.

Ambient Weather WS-2000 Smart Weather Station with WiFi Remote Monitoring and Alerts & Thermo Hygrometer
Very pleased with the ease of set-up, function and ease of calibration. Calibrated the rainfall amount using a 4 inch CoCo RaHS rain gauge and cross check periodically. The ambient is spot-on now. My data is on WU and Ambient and has never missed an observation in the 3 plus months been using it. Added a particulate sensor outdoors as well as a soil moisture for the garden and a temp and humidity for the out building. After last years fires we really saw the need to monitor air quality as there were no sensors for 30 miles. Thinking of adding an additional for inside AQ. The display is bright, clear, easy to read and logical. Happy Camper!

So far so good. Functions work accurately except for wind speed which is too low.

Very nice unit. The unit was easy to install and setup. I monitor two areas in the house and the display alternately shows both along with the outside conditions. The display show more information than any other screen which is exactly what I was looking for. Spend a little extra and get this unit, you will not be disappointed. Highly recommended.

Ambient Weather WS-5000 Ultrasonic Professional Smart Weather Station & Thermo Hygrometer
I’m very happy overall. The display unit is excellent and provides a great deal of information. The ability to add additional sensors is great, as is the capability to connect to multiple internet based services. (I’m connected to Ambient, WU, PWS, CWOP, and MADIS). I do find that the sonic anemometer is subject to fluctuations and at times the wind direction is scattered around the compass. There is some wind breakage but not enough to result in such erratic readings. The 10 minute average typically smooths things out. Fundamentally this is an excellent system with meaningful improvements over my prior system (WS-1001). If anyone knows how to minimize the wind direction fluctuations I’d appreciate it!
