Like everything today you really have to have a real person to call and walk you through ones technical issues

I needed a little technical advice after I assumed my WS-2000 died. All it needed was a new AC adapter. The advice was spot on.

Around 3-10-21 I received my WS--2000 weather station from your company.. it was easy to set up and get connected with your system. I’ve enjoyed it for these two years plus, but in the last month or two the system slowly started to reboot every once in a while. Lately it was rebooting continuously.. I replaced the batteries in the weather station and the lightning sensor and the temperature sensor in the house and it continued to reboot. I brought the system altogether very close to the Wi-Fi router and it did the same and all signals were strong on the screen when I did get to see it. Next possibility, I thought it may be a 5G/2.6G problem.. I went to my spectrum tech people and they had me do it too, but it only was going at 2.6G. The base unit is in a air condition and heated section of a bedroom in my house. I called your Phoenix tech-support and explained the situation and he said most likely it was the power supply that was growing thru intermittent fluctuation. I bought a new power supply from your company and plugged it in and it did the same thing that my original power supply did, my unit kept trying to reboot. I called tech-support again and they said there is a possibility that it could be a chip or some item in the main screen unit that was going bad. It was a lot of money, but I bought a new screen from you and when I received it, I plugged in the new power supply that it came with and it worked great. By chance, I thought I would try the power supply that I received to replace my power supply originally. When I did this, the new screen started to try to reboot over and over again.. I plugged in the power supply cord that came with the replacement unit and it worked fine.. I took that power supply off the new screen and plugged it into my original screen and it worked great! Conclusion, I was sent a faulty power supply to replace the original power supply that was faulty! Since I got the new unit from you just several days before I went through the process and returned it to your company for a refund. I kept the power supply that came with the unit and sent back the follow up unit that your company sent to me to replace my original power supply. Both power supplies we’re faulty. Your system works great and I wonder how many people are going through the same problem and you’re replacing faulty power supplies with faulty power supplies you’re getting from that Chinese company? Please understand your system and set up and being able to see other weather stations around the country is great . But the product suppliers in this case are failing you greatly. I hope you will refund the full amount that I paid for the new unit, the faulty power supply that I bought,, and shipping back to you the unit for $10 or so. If I were still working, I would be ticked off that it took me so much time and effort to find out that the product rep replacing the product was just as bad as the original problem.. your people that helped me in Phoenix office were courteous, and helpful. it’s not their fault that the product coming in from somewhere else were lemons more than one time! Fairly straightforward to assemble although the wind cup had to be replaced because it would not tighten to the shaft.

Nothing last forever, but it is nice to know that if something stops working after the warranty has expired, you can get replacement parts at reasonable cost.
