The WS-5000 set up and operated as advertised. Getting help pre-sale was easy, afterward - not so much.

My brother in law bought me a WS 2902 Weather Station 2 years ago. I have since bought 2 myself for my sons living in different parts of the country. We especially like the Web Casting of the local conditions as we are able to check the inside temperature of our homes while away.

Ordered an item that apparently was back ordered but wasn't advised of that. So tried to cancel order and was told I couldn't cancel.

Great shopping experience but the requests for reviews are obnoxious. It's not Christmas yet so the product hasn't yet been gifted or opened.

Had a little trouble hooking it to my wifi but works very well. Actually our second unit.

Online ordering was fast and easy. Items shipped the same day and arrived quickly. I did ask a question of the support staff on a different matter two days ago and still received no communication from support.

Wish Tech support had directed me to check firmware update before ordering replacement.

Item was carefully delivered and was timely in its arrival. Since it’s a Christmas gift, can’t say yet how the set up is or how well it meets expectations. If it’s like our other Ambient Weather items, I anticipate that we will be well pleased with the purchase.

I love my Ambient Weather system, it tells me exactly what it looks like outside, the wind, the rain, the temperature...it's super detailed and easy to read. Great purchase and I highly recommend this system!

The shopping experience was OK, the website wasn't very smooth, and pages didn't want to fully load, which made seeing all the photos and other elements on the pages difficult at times. I placed my order, which was filled and shipped quickly. I recieved my WS-5000 station, which I installed on December 3, and everything worked perfectly for the first 5 days. On day 6 with the WS-5000, we had a lot of drizzle and mist, and apparently water/moisture got into the wind array, which began dropping signal, and has been dropping out intermittently ever since. The other sensors have remained rock solid signal at 4 bars from day 1. This past weekend, we got some rain, but the rain sensor only registered 0.01" after several hours of rain. I went outside in the rain to check the sensor, and found the tipping bucket stuck in the down position. I could not get the mechanism to reliably reset itself after it would tip to empty the water in it. So, bad wind array, and now a bad rain sensor.

Right now, I'll give 3 stars and a 5 on the rating scale due to the poor performance of the product so far... hopefully the replacements that Support is sending to me can raise it to 5 stars and a 10... we'll see.
