My weather station was pummeled by hail, so I ended up purchasing a replacement sensor array. Once installed I found that the array was not reporting outside temperature and humidity, so I filed a support ticket to get some assistance. The support process was actually very disappointing. The agent assisting me was pleasant to work with, but not very prompt in regards to timely responses. They eventually shipped me a replacement array, and once receiving it and installing, the issue was resolved.

My sensor array appeared to have died after two years of use. I submitted a request for support and advice as to options for repair, troubleshooting or replacement. However, I never received a response from customer service. I ended up spending $200 for a new array as I could not wait any longer to get the weather station operational. The part shipped and arrived promptly but had no installation instructions. After much online research I was able to get the station operational with the replacement part. Overall verdict is poor quality (only two-year life of critical parts) and totally lacking customer service (service request ignored). I love my weather station (when it works) but would not recommend ambient weather.

Overall, it was just great with a very good price on the item. Only issue was with UPS. Their supposed "3 day Express" delivery turned out to be nothing more than a 7 day regular ground time frame.

As of today, I leave only a 2 star review. I purchased the WS-5000 station and am very happy with it at this point. I also purchased the wifi camera to go with the WS-5000. Setting up the camera has been very frustrating as I have followed the instructions. Issues is, it is not letting me set it up on my network. I am waiting on response from Ambient Weather support, and depending how that hoes, I'll return the camera. Will update if I get the camera to work.

The information provided to help make a decision was excellent. And when I receive the WS-2000 it actually had more features (additional sensors) than I expected.
Highly recommended.
