installed my first AW WS-8478A Falcon here in Central Florida summer of 2018. I have five indoor temp/rh sensors and two outdoor pool and spa float sensors. After 14 months the outdoor array failed and cost me $100 to replace. A few months after both pool/spa float sensors failed and replaced at $18 each.
Summer 2022 the replacement outdoor array failed and the entire AW station was replaced with WS-8480 console and outdoor array. Indoor and outdoor sensors are still operating.
My next weather station will likely be a Davis and cost be damned... I deserve reliable equipment.

I added a lightning strike detector to the collections of sensors for my WS-2000. I love the unit although sometimes find it less intuitive than I would hope. The call in help desk helped clear up some confusing details/facts and now things are operating as they should. Great product, glad I made the investment.

I had another station for the last 15 years and it finally died so I thought I would try Ambient. I am impressed although it is a bit more complicated to set up it all works seamlessly. Now time will tell.
The only negative is I have yet to figure out how to get it to connect to the weather underground.

Overall good experience. Installed station and within 24 hours the outside temperature and humidity sensor quit reporting. Contacted customer support and within a week I had a new sensor. I installed the new sensor and has been working fine since then. While installing the sensor I found the multiport connector for the sensor had failed and was probably why the sensor stopped working.

Very happy so far. The build quality is very good. The instruments are functioning well, and the wireless communication with the base has been no problem. With the station mounted on the roof and the base down stairs. The connection to my wifi through a mesh router was difficult, so that would be one area it would be nice to make easier.

Ordered a WS-2902-Thermohygro assembly on 9/18. Was happy to receive it 4 days later. Talked to Odell on how to install it. Called Odell again when installed It was reading 105 inside on the counter with a heat index of 147.Tried to lower temperature by following instructions.
Would only lower about 5 degrees. Odell said the array was not working. We needed the rain gauge and wind speed due to the hurricane approaching. Out $30 plus have to buy a new $130+ array. NOT HAPPY.
