I received the package today (a day earlier than expected) 0and am looking forward to getting the station setup and working later this week. I read the manual a few days ago in preparation and am glad to see it is comprehensive and easy to follow. I don't expect any issues. I purchased this to replace another manufacturer's product that became intermittent after eight months and I learned that they do not provide anything close to proper support. I have been able to repair that weather station and will be giving it to my brother while I keep the Ambient station. I like that Ambient stands behind the products they sell and has been in contact with me since I placed my order.

Fantastic equipment. Works like a charm. Quick delivery and offers of assistance for the setup.

The most unexpected and pleasant surprise was the community that you connect to. I am able to monitor the weather at my daughters house while she is away.

Could be better

I called to ask about my 2nd console that had stopped working. The gentleman on the phone was totally disinterested in my problem. He never offered any kind of solution. It was like pulling teeth. I asked about the out of stock console and he told me that it wouldn’t be back in stock. I had to search on the web site for a replacement console and asked him if that was the one I needed. He mostly gave me one word answers. I bought the extended warranty with this next console, and when it’s done, if I have a problem, I’m done with Ambient.

Very easy transaction

Just bought a replacement for the temperature & wind sensor for my WS-5000 system. The software is good, and the display station looks great. However, I have serious issues with the hardware. The reason I am replacing the wind/temperature sensor is because it is not waterproof. We had a big storm last winter, and this sensor failed. I took it down and discovered that the top part that contains the solar panels is simply a plastic part that twists onto the bottom part of the sensor. No gasket or O-ring. The whole upper part of the sensor filled with rain water during the storm. The battery compartment, which at least seems to have a skinny gasket, also filled with water. I emptied out all the water and dried the electronics as well as I could, and was amazed that I got it working again - for a while. Eventually it failed completely. I disassembled it, and saw a lot of corrosion inside. My options were to either buy a completely new weather station from some other company, or buy a new nearly $200 sensor. I really didn’t like the looks of the competitor’s display stations, so I decided to pay for a new sensor. Before putting it out, I sealed the top twist-off cap with waterproof glue, and put heavy-duty tape over the battery compartment cap. Hopefully it will survive the next big rainstorm without flooding. I really wish that I could give this product a 5-star review, but it is a weather station that isn’t weatherproof. I’ve told the company about this (last winter), but they haven’t changed the product, so I’m only giving it 3 stars.

I bought a WS-2000 WeatherStation. It had stated in the description that it was a refurbished unit. My only complaint was I purchased a power cord for it assuming I had to because in the listing it didn’t say it came with a power cord. The unit works great though. Just a little frustrated that I had to buy a power cord and didn’t need it.

Shopping on site was easy..

I love my new little ambient weather station it was easy to install and works very well it’s already clocked winds up at 40 miles an hour

Awesome weather station and extremely fast shipping. Highly recommend Ambient!

All great isp is fighting me

Good

Overall I am pleased with the WS-5000, although the instruction manual should be revised to include a picture of final setup, instructions about finding the MAC-ID number and a few other details that newbies will not know. The instrument inself seems well built, although a couple of the holes meant to take a set screw, could not be lined up to accept it, and the blinking LED light said to be with the raingage does not seem to exist. Tech support has been very responsive and helpful, unlike my experiences just a few years ago when I bought a WS-1002

Works ok but can it get it to show me everything on my pc
