I love my Ambient weather station. My first sensor lasted only 3 years, but I live in a marine environment, high wind and salt water spray, which is known to corrode electrical contacts. For this reason, I immediately replaced the sensor with a new one, and caulked the battery compartment with silicon sealant. The sealant should be easy to remove when servicing the senor, My hope is that the sealant will prevent salt spray from penetrating the battery compartment. If you don't hear back from me, it means the sealant worked.

Everything works as advertised. Trouble logging in to website but once I understood difference between .com and .net sites it was smooth sailing setting up. Weatherunderground setup was more difficult, the naming system has changed and mine is now a generic "townname" instead of my custom name. But it is cool to see my station on WU.

Very pleased with my purchase. I delayed my response, awaiting some measurable rainfall to confirm the gauge was operable and reporting the rate and quantity. I enjoy accessing the Ambient Weather Network to observe conditions nearby and in other cities. One difficulty I experienced during installation was my failure to adequately read all instructions pertaining to connecting the station to the network. Fortunately, an Ambient Support technician helped me step through that process. The owner’s manual might emphasize that any pole or pipe used for mounting the station requires an OUTSIDE diameter of two inches or less. The 2-inch PVC pipe I used proved to be too large to accommodate the station and clamps provided (a 1½”-to-2” adaptor solved this).

Good company to deal with. This was my second purchase of an Ambient weather station. The product shipped fast and I had it within 5 days albeit the console screen was cracked making it unusable. A call to customer support was all it took and the new one should be here tomorrow. Ambient is my go-to place for this type of equipment.

Pretty smooth experience dealing with you. The only problem was when I placed the order, I didn't get a confirmation number. Until I got the message from UPS the next day stating the package was enroute, I wasn't sure my order went through. But it came in a couple of days, and so far, so good.

I love the product. It replaced a prior unit that lasted outdoors on the gulf coast of Louisiana for 4 years through three hurricanes and a winter polar vortex and ice storm before it had to be replaced.

Not quite as easy to put on my rain gauge as you might think but it works.

I do not want this posted on your web page online. If it wasn’t for your technical support people finally answering my phone calls I would have never bought your product. Your sales team NEVER picks up the phone nor do they return calls.
