First one lasted five years. Hoping this one beats that.

The purchase experience was great. Shipped quickly. The interface between the WS-5000 console and my router is an issue. I have to dummy my router to 2.4hz legacy mode to allow the WS-5000 to connect to my network. This is Ambient Weather’s latest station. It should be able to connect to modern standards for Wi-Fi routers. Come on Ambient, how about a firmware update. Kudo’s to their tech support as they replied to my email quickly with a solution that worked. I also purchased the Ambient Weather mount with an extra mast section. The mast is in 3 small pieces and then the additional mast section adds 3 more for a total of 6 slip together poles. This makes the mast a little more unstable and difficult to get it plumb. The display is the best part of the system. It is just awesome. Overall I’m pleased with the WS-5000.

I would give this 5 star, but it is so hard to hook up to wifi network. Not sure why it isn't easier.

My order was shipped the next day after I placed it. It arrived in just a few days right on the expected day. Everything was in the box in good condition. It was easy to assemble and is now working fine.

Very nice product, works very well. Set up is a little difficult but worth the effort. We got 3 weather stations. First was difficult to connect to the Internet. The other two were much easier.
I have only had 1 problem and that has been in obtaining 2 parts that were missing.

Great response for help and questions. My biggest concern is for moving parts that wear out quickly. I lost my entire weather station from a 65 mph peak wind. I believe stations with fewer moving parts will soon take over the industry. In the meantime, Ambient Weather provides a quality product.

Bird guard for rain gauge looks to be exactly what is needed to restore function of the rain gauge. However, I haven’t been able to install it yet.
