Fast shipping, product was relatively easy to set up and use with minimal effort. Make sure to calibrate the barometer with a known, reliable source (local airport at similar elevation, etc)..

While ordering products from Ambient Weather is simple, sometimes their support for products is lacking. I have owned 3 separate weather stations (including the one just purchased) and their quality is sometimes lacking even with adequate maintenance and care. I recently ordered a new unit because my old unit WS8478 failed and they no longer support this 3 year old device. They know this is an issue because they have a replacement program for the unit, but only if you upgrade to the WS8480 and they certainly didn't notify owners of the WS8478 that this program existed. I purchased a different product than the WS8480 and didn't even know the upgrade program existed until AFTER I ordered the new unit. And if you ask support if they can extend the upgrade to products other than the WS8480 they will refuse to do so. Overall, this is likely the last unit I buy from Ambient Weather unless they start treating longtime, loyal customers with some respect.

One morning I noticed my weather station console screen was off and would not turn on. After reading a few comments in the help section of ambientweather.net, I saw that a common failure is the AC adapter. Checking it with my multimeter, I found that it was indeed NOT producing the required 5v output. I quickly ordered a replacement and although it took a bit longer to get here due to COVID shipping delays, it did arrive and fixed the problem.

Excellent service just a shame about the taxes you have to pay to get the gear to Ireland

The unit was delivered on time and I found the setup to be easy. My weather station does everything thing I expected it to do. The app was also so easy to setup. I’m very happy with my purchase.

Purchased a WS-5000 and it all went very well. I had a few questions before deciding to purchase to understand mounting & installation and the technician was very kind and helpful. I purchased as soon as I hung up. Had 1 little issue with the indoor temp sensor not registering on the console and the technician solved the problem immediately. This is my 2nd weather station from Ambient and I have been very please with both.
