An almost perfect setup. The only downside is it does take some effort to setup. Be sure to read the manual, which you can download, before. The reason I bought it is that it saves a history of your readings, which you may be able to download as a data base. Cheers.

Ordered the WS2000 - so far I’ve unboxed and set everything up inside and outside. The directions were easy to understand and everything set up with our home WiFi the first time. No need for any support help. I was able to connect my system to weather underground with no glitches. My system has been up a week with no disruptions - like I have seen with other home weather systems. Would definitely recommend this product.

Several problems when I tried to order around Black Friday, but they seem to be resolved for this order. Good transaction.

After researching weather station options with fellow NWS colleagues, I chose the Ambient WS-5000 system. Ordering was easy and installation went smoothly. Got connected to AWN and shared my data to weather underground. Only concern is that barometric pressure reads 1 full inch lower than ASOS altimeter that is 5 miles away. Tech support told me that it could take a month to settle in. I will be watching closely.

A replacement cord seemed a little expensive, but it worked and was of greater value than buying another whole unit.

It would be nice if the product lasted more than a few years. After my old unit failing from getting moisture inside I reached out to Ambient. They told me I can purchase a replacement array and did not offer to help correct the faulty unit. All that to say it's a good unit that only lasts a few years.

ordered delivered 3 days after it was scheduled. Tried calling customer service and using the chat, no response from either. Sent an email to Ambient asking about the status with no response. I really like the Ambient products but customer service not up to par.

this is a great weather station. the only downside is that the technical setup is a little more complex than we would have preferred.

My display stopped working. It turned out that the power supply had died. I ordered a new one and it arrived in a week. Everything is up and running again.

Hello,
I recently purchased a WS-2000 display, and the display itself is very good and works as expected.
However, the included power supply is not usable in Norway, as it does not fit standard EU/Nordic wall outlets and had to be discarded. I also purchased the separately sold European power adapter from Ambient Weather, but this adapter delivers too low voltage / insufficient current for stable operation of the WS-2000. The display was unstable, and that adapter also had to be discarded.
In practice, the WS-2000 requires a stable 5 V supply with higher current capability than the EU adapter provided.
I wanted to share this as feedback, as it resulted in unnecessary cost and waste for an EU customer.
Best regards,
Sven

Ordering the part went fine, and it solved my problem. It would have been nice if the company had included some kind of installation instructions, or a specific link to instructions on the web.
