I did lots of research on which station to get. This on works very well. We've only had it up for 3 week now but the panel is easy to read and seems to be very accurate.

I own an old Ambient weather station 2000 which is still in functioning condition but decided to upgrade. I found the models offered competitive with other brands. Having had a good experience with the old unit I chose the two piece WS5000.
As a side note, I damaged the plastic pole attachment and tube for the wind gauge. Ambient Support was quick to respond and helped me obtain replacement parts for the WS5000.

I found just what I wanted, and it was delivered in a timely way. I put the batteries in and it worked right off the bat.

I ordered a gift to be delivered in Canada. The sale went through, but then you canceled the sale so I could redo the order, this time clicking a little button to indicate country of delivery. Couldn’t the website have done that when I filled out the address?

It seems that your microprocessor is outdated in that there’s so much trouble linking to typing home WiFi

The array was easy to assemble from the directions in my original manual as this was a replacement. Installation was easy as tools were supplied for mounting. One nut was damaged and would not screw on to the U-bolts, however, I was able to utilize a nut from the array being replaced. It wasn't clear from the instructions on how to select the ID for the new array, but trial and error resolved the issue.

I've owned a WA-8478A weather station for nearly 7 years, and it worked very well. However, due to a lack of attention to maintenance, the rain gauge was filled with dirt and debris, preventing it from working. There is no way to clean it without totally disassembling the unit. Before I discovered the issue, I purchased a WS-2000. This model is far superior to the WS-8478A in that you can easily remove the rain funnel to gain access to the rain gauge sensor. In addition, I enjoy the ability to edit the data collected. For example, I could delete the rain data generated during testing of the unit and then add the Yearly rain for our area.

You need to put the warning for the order of the batteries where it is more prominent in the instruction set up. Also I have been plugged in for 4 days now and I still do not have an external temperature. Not sure how long I should wait.

The only issue I had that dropped it from a 5star is the shipping is not updated on the website once the order is processed. I had to request the information from customer service, which they provided within a day.

I thought I had a 15% discount code for my order but I saw no way to enter it in and by the time I figured that out it was too late, I was committed to the order and had no idea if I could cancel the order and try again. Other than that the order came quickly and I think I have the correct parts

It arrived quickly and exactly how it should have been. I prefer to go to the source rather than Amazon and their K-mart brand of third party sellers.

Two days and still waiting for my approval for my rebate. Would like to know if I’m getting one or not since I was required to buy a new console.
