I ordered an eight-sensor WS-3000-8-based weather station, as well as the ethernet gateway add-on. The only thing I'd change about the experience is noting that you can't update the weather station firmware without a microSD card - I thought you could do it via USB, and I was wrong. Since the microSD card add-on option is a very good price ($5 for more space than you'll need), I wish you'd made that clear. Otherwise, the whole kit has been delightful, and shipping was good.

Quick shipping, pretty simple setup with clear instructions. The station is now feeding data to Ambient weather and it is fun to send the link to friends and family so they can see the weather immediately around our house. It will be great to have the rain data for our desert environment.

I installed the wx panel in the air studio at a radio station. The air talent loves the new display. They say it's much easier to read than their old system. Plus lots of other feature for them to play with (history, etc).

Product descriptions are excellent. Manuals and forum are available. There is no reason not to learn everything needed before a purchase decision is made regarding these technical (okay; nerdy) products. With a lot of hard work over a long time, Ambient Weather has attained an excellent level of quality. I needed to replace a failed station, but reasonable prices and adequate documentation (including back-compatibility) gave me confidence to do it. Many thanks!

Overall unimpressed with the unit. Connectivity is non-existent so it’s a local device and doesn’t fulfill my requirements

I bought a new adapter for my ws-5000 display. my other one went wonky. I ordered it off the website and it was packaged and shipped efficiently. I got it in plenty of time to plug my display in and save the Universe. :) I am glad you guys are there and if you have a meeting about upgrades to the ws-5000, i'd love to see labels for soil moisture sensors.

The website is reasonably easy to navigate, provided you know the model of your weather station. Prices are very fair, and shipping is immediate. All in all an excellent experience.
