I bought this WS-1900A for my mother's 100th birthday. She loves looking at the display showing the winds and rain and forecast. I have had a WS-1170 for many years and have been very satisfied.

I really shouldn't have had to buy the damn thing, because it quit working while it was under warranty, and when I called I was told that I would have to send the whole thing back. But by the time I got to where I could take it down the warranty was over. then I find you can buy parts for the weather station and y'all could have just sent me the damn thermo hygrometer to begin with and I could have changed it out and it would have been fine. That's why you get four stars instead of five I'm happy with the transaction packaging was great It came quick enough for my satisfaction and worked correctly after installation what more could I ask for.

Easy to pick my product and understand if I need any additional accessories. Product arrive quickly and in perfect condition. Very well packed for shipment.

I called tech support, with a problem, and problem solved! Good people that listen and provide appropriate solutions. Replacement part ordered, shipped, easy install and 100% satisfied.

Shopping at the Ambient store was easy and enjoyable. Product descriptions were understandable and precise. The item I ordered arrived quickly and was complete. However, one of the sensors was unable to link to the desktop display. I called Support and talked to a representative - though it took a few minutes to understand him. Seems to be a lot of background noise in the “office”. He recommended that I complete the Return Form from the ambient website and request an RMA - which I did. Within a day I received another email stating that a replacement sensor had been shipped and that I would not need to return the defective sensor.

Definitely a five-star experience!

All the equipment I've purched over the years has worked well for my purpose. I have noticed the prices have sky rocketed recently. need to by some other items but might hold off a while

I called several weeks ago because my outside temp and pressure weren't reading (for 3rd time). I was told I should order/replace the rain gauge component. I did that and still not reading. When I called you guys to report I was told to send you a copy of my email ordering the rain gauge and you would authorize me to receive a new display unit. Did as you requested but haven't heard anything? I like your product and would like to keep using it! Will you follow thru please? Mark Felices 931-580-4874

I love the fact it doesn't have wind cups to break off and the color screen is good. It also has very good transmission range through walls. The only thing is it is real,hard to figure out how to set the screen up when you first get it. One last thing it does not have battery backup for the inside monitor.

Great Weather Station!

My purchase of a 2902C was a secret for a good friend. He had it set up and installed in 2 days! He absolutely loves it. My old 2902A still gets the job done for me!!

Setup was pretty easy, just had a problem connecting to wifi but I got it, everything else is setup and working fine. Was referred by a local friend to buy this and love it so far.

Prompt delivery and the equipment appears to work fine other than the lightning detector has not sensed strikes the last couple of storms. I haven't taken the time to figure it out though. Spring time in Mississippi can be busy and so am I. I'll ask for help if I need it, when I get to it. Thanks, DB

Replacement part for my weather st

My experience with Ambient was confusing, yet educational. I originally contacted Ambient with a request to purchase a wind cup assembly for my Ambient station. The original agent I dealt with suggested that the unit may still be under warranty and if so, the replacement would be sent free of charge. I checked the purchase date anf the unit was still under warranty. I was directed to fill out some request from which was impossible to download and complete. Some security jazz apparently. I advised the agent to whom I had spoken and he was generous enough to say it was no problem, he would look after it and send me out the assembly. Later I informed by a different agent that I had to prove proof of purchase. I found the original order invoice (from Amazon) and forwarded it as directed. I was subsequently informed that I was persona non grata because I had purchased the unit from an “Unauthorized Source” and all bets were off. Wow! IT was not, apparently an issue with Ambient equipment, it was problem with the source of it. I chalked that up to an indicatioin that there was a hesitancy to honour a warranty (which I had NOT asked for!) Okay, I went to another web site where I ordered and paid for the assembly. Now comes the really educational part of the experience. The wind cup assembly is charged out at $15.49 USD. The shipping and handling charges invoiced out at $34.62USD. The total was $50.11 USD.
I paid $64.57 CAD. I have no axe to grind with what I paid. I am aware of how trade across the border operates. I am, however, questioning Ambient’s attitude toward customer service. When is an Ambient Weather Station not an Ambient Weather Station? Does it cease to be when it is secured from some self styled “Unauthorized source? I have ptoblem with that. So, from an educational perspective what has this student learned, if anything? Here it is - I will not do any further business with Ambient, not will I recommend the units to interested parties. I will get my further needs serviced by alternative sources. Apologies for the length of this, however, Ambient kept persisting for a response. Good luck!

Am very pleased with the product itself - punched all my requirements and then some. Clearly the design is well thought-out and well constructed. Especially appreciate the WWV-controlled clock with 24 hour display option and signal strength display for the remotes. Saw some reviews cite setup issues - IMHO, just RTFM (Read The #*&$ Manual for the uninitiated). Product arrived well packed and undamaged.

Believe the web site could use some help. When ordering a WS-2801A specifying two additional sensors the web site complained I was ordering too many. The web site also reacted differently whether I pressed "Return" (Success) or clicked on "Add to Cart" (Fail).
