I am a professional meteorologist and have worked with weather monitoring systems for over 30 years. Ambient Weather stations are the best systems on the market in their price category for quality, flexibility and ease of use.

I wanted something that was out of stock. They notified me when it was available, but I decided to upgrade to a much more expensive device. It arrived in three days. Great service. I would definitely continue to buy from them.

I have only had my WS-5000 weather station for a few weeks and everything is working fine so far. the packaging was good I had no broken parts. the instructions for assembly, installation and operation were good. I have had no problems so far.

Overall experience was unsatisfactory. Purchased WS-5000 to replace 2.5 year old WS-1002-WiFi which died in a freeze. Rain gauge was a separate part unlike previous purchase, making it more difficult to mount. Main outside unit is solar so backup batteries should recharge, but do not. Rainspike box had wrong part number and install instructions were incorrect. Calls to company went to voice mail; only communication available was email. Email response did not address all questions asked requiring multiple replies.

Went to website to get a part for a weather station damaged in a hail storm. Found the part with no issues, and it was shipped quickly

Payment and shipping time was simple.
Figuring out how many sensors to purchase (so that I can use up all the channels but not have extra sensors) took some time to decipher. It was hard to figure out how many additional sensors to buy.
I inquired and was disappointed that I wasn’t able to purchase additional sensors at a discounted price. This inquiry was during the 30 day return window. I could have returned the whole thing and purchased what I wanted but I didn’t want to do that. So the experience left me disappointed.
