The order for our new WS-5000 was despatched swiftly and received earlier than expected. We have a WS-1002 on our villa on Lanzarote (VillaEssenceLanzarote - ITAS224) and the WS-5000 was a bit more fiddly to assemble and mount as it has two separate sensor units rather than the one integrated assembly. We also had to fit a spacer to the mounting pole as the pole top mount for the rain gauge interfered slightly with the mount for the temperature/solar/UV sensor. Hence 4*. Just installed and up and running (IREDDI24)
Was happy to see that Ambient now ship worldwide though UK buyers should be aware of additional customs duties and VAT charges.

I like that the temp gauge is protected from the sun and that the aneonometer has no moving parts. I just wish I could pair it with my home network. My network has a newer Fios router and is multiband, not 2.4 GHz. Please update the WiFi software.

Your website to order needs improvement. At one point I was not sure if the order went through so I tried again and was successful. Now I was worried that I made two orders and I closely watched my email and credit card charges. The weather station is excellent but so far the lighting detect is not working. The station is picking it up with 4 signal bars and tonight we had a strong t-storm pass through but the lightning count is zero. Detector is well away from all electronic equipment.

Great weather system! Once it is put together and set up it is amazing.
Instructions need some rewrite though, easily done.

Lightning sensor was delivered the next day!! Granted I live in the same state as Ambient Weather. It still means it was out the door the same day!!

No issues setting up and mounting the weather station. It took two tries to get the panel connected to my wifi. So far, I really like it.

I ordered the WS-1900 console to round out my 1550 system that I've used for a few years. Installation was as easy as turning on the console. It found the array and immediately presented it on screen.

Why are your sensors always out of stock ?

The store is good. Once you have decided on a station, they added some incredibly unique ways to add to the package. I like the options drop downs below the main station. Especially the discount on additional sensors. The other great news with this, the add ons are guaranteed to work with the unit you buy.
The downside to the shopping experience, it is really hard to navigate the website. For some reason this site just doesn't work the way my brain does. I have to remember too many model numbers to find what I want or information about those things. It's a bit like an engineer built this years ago, and then the product offerings went way beyond what this was designed for. It needs more regular person approach to the organization (the current organization might work great for the weather geek that has grown up with these parts - it doesn't really work for a new person or just regular person off the street).

I had a couple of questions about adding a second console to my system so I could track weather conditions from another spot in my house. The customer service department answered promptly and assured me that what I wanted to do would work...and they were right! Thanks!

I did extensive research before deciding to purchase the WS-2000 and am very happy with the weather station and now the lightening sensor. The purchase process was easy and seamless with the delivery coming as committed, packaged well and complete with easy instructions. No issues and I would recommend with no regrets.

Great product and when I called tech-support a very nice person spent a half hour on the phone explaining everything to me. The WeatherStation arrive several days early. Overall excellent experience.

I am relatively pleased so far.
Setting up the indoor console was a bit clunky.
Weather Underground did not recognize my station for several days, and the “WU” logo is still absent from my console screen. The Wunderground app is receiving my station data.
The Ambient logo is displaying as expected.
