Owning and Ambient Weather station made it an easy decision when I was looking for a gift for a family member. They wanted a weather station and I got them the Ambient Weather WS-5000. The price was good, shipping was fast and thus far, the station has been great. I highly recommend Ambient Weather stations.

The new ws-5000 external sensor assembly works fine. I'm a little disappointed the old assembly only lasted 2 or 3 years. The wind sensor read at least 10 MPH all the time and the solar cell cover was badly degraded.

The bird spike kit is awful! Poor materials, worse instructions.

I made the purchase, put in the 20% discount code, entered all my info and it automatically charged me without me hitting charge. And in so doing it never gave me the 20% off. I called and was told by whoever I talked to that he would do it manually. Hasn't happened yet.

Certainly, there is nothing negative to report. The order was filled and shipped within a day. Although I could not get the SAVE20 coupon to work, I telephoned Ambient Weather. The representative told me to send an email to support, which I did. The matter was resolved so fast my credit card website shows no credit was issued. Instead, the discount was applied BEFORE the charge was sent to the credit card company. What could get better than that.

He took me through each step and ended up solving the problem. I couldn't have done it without help. He had a very calm demeanor. I really enjoyed his help.

Perfect replacement. That gets a 5 star rating. Disappointed this is the second time I’ve replaced this same sensor in 4 years. That gets a 1 star rating. Averages to a 3. Satisfied, but really wish this would last longer.
