Akathist to Jesus, Light to Those in Darkness
While I’ve come to appreciate the benefits of praising God in all circumstances, even the most painful ones, I have to admit that often its application is very difficult. This wonderful paraphrasing of the Psalms and scripture gives words to those heartaches that we don’t even dare to confess to ourselves. The first time I read this Akathist I ended up giving that copy away to a friend. I have since distributed several more copies as every time I read it I see someone else’s situation described in it. I’ve even incorporated some of the sections of it into my daily prayer rule. Bless you Fr. Farley.

Blueprints for the Little Church: Creating an Orthodox Home
What a wonderful resource for future, new, and even veteran Orthodox parents. This book paints a vivid picture of the home as the "little church," and provides the reader with different options and ideas they can put into practice in their home lives. From setting up prayer corners to establishing fasting practices, this book explores the demanding task the Lord has given us as parents and challenges us to meet that expectation. I highly recommend this to all parents, and even to those who have not yet become parents!

Orthodoxy and Heterodoxy: Finding the Way to Christ in a Complicated Religious Landscape (2017 edition)
Though I never read the original edition of this book, the revised edition impressed me greatly. Fr. Andrew's analysis was deep, yet simplistic. He made inaccessible topics accessible. As a cradle Orthodox, I gleaned so much from reading this. Not only did Fr. Andrew's survey of the world's religions clarify what I believed as an Orthodox Christian, but it also taught me much about a religious landscape that used to be completely foreign to me. Now, I hope to be able to engage in more meaningful dialogue with my non-Orthodox friends and acquaintances, and use the common ground between our theological perspectives to bridge the gap in evangelism efforts. Thank you for this book, Fr. Andrew. It is truly a blessing!

Children’s Orthodox Prayer Book
I'm purchasing more copies of this product so that each of my children has a prayer book to hold. This is an excellent prayer book, accessible to children, but also a great way for an adult to build their daily prayer routine.

Becoming a Healing Presence
Many of us don't realize just how much we appreciate the people who have (most of the time unawares) served as a healing presence in our lives. Dr. Rossi's writing touched me deeply, and has encouraged me to "put on Christ" more fully in my day-to-day life and be that healing presence for my loved ones and friends. Active listening, in particular, has become a much more regular practice for me as a result of reading this book. It has deepened my relationship with my significant other substantially, and has enriched other relationships in all areas of my life. All Christians can benefit from using their time to read this book; it truly was therapeutic in itself.

I Live Again: A Memoir of Ileana, Princess of Romania and Archduchess of Austria
This book gives a great inside look at Romanian history from the beginning of the 20th century. Interesting to learn about life as a princess too. It was especially good to read after having lived in Bucharest for two years. I definitely recommend it!

Surprised by Christ: My Journey from Judaism to Orthodox Christianity
Great Personal narrative, excellent catechesis, and Mystagogical. The book is extremely enjoyable to read, as it is personal with some deep theology here and there. Gives great connections of Jesus being the Jewish messiah. This book has truly set me in the right track

Out of Step with God: Orthodox Christian Reflections on the Book of Numbers
Numbers isn't really a book that I've engaged with in my personal Biblical studies, but upon looking into Fr. Patrick Henry Reardon's book, I found myself captivated and more interested than before. Fr. Patrick's approach, rather than commenting on each individual verse, is to do a solid summary of each chapter, as well as additional connecting essays on certain topics such as "The Postmodernist" (Numbers 24). The book is more than SparkNotes for a book of the Bible; it really tries to get at the heart of what these often-overlooked Scriptures are really about.
I also appreciated Fr. Patrick's approach to connecting the issues of Scripture to contemporary life; rather than try to dig really deep into individual verses, syntax and linguistics, you get a fuller connection between verses, parts of chapters, and the overall points at hand. This is a useful tool for the individual reader, the Bible study leader, or clergy who are looking for reflective resources for homilies, writings, etc.
