At the moment I am not very happy. My order has yet to arrive and no one has been in touch with me. Also, you asked me to cover a wire transfer fee that was never disclosed at the time of the sale. This was done by requesting my CC information over email - a very poor and insecure practice. Must do better. Hopefully my order will be shipped shortly.

Good afternoon Chris, firstly let me say we always strive for a smooth service but on this occasion it appears we could of done more and communicated better. I understand one of my colleagues has sent an email update. I apologise that we have had to contact you for a balance and this is not the first time we have had issues with international payments as every bank is different and we cannot always say what the fees will be upfront. We did have a statement on the page but this could of been made a bit more obvious. We would like to continue to deal with international customers and rather than be specific each time we will begin to charge a flat fee upfront in order to cover any transfer fees. This will remove the need to send card details through to settle a balance. We hope our website updates are met with satisfaction and that they should prevent re-occurrence for yourself and others. There was no option that i could see to pay by credit card, so i had to pay by international bank transfer. Although i requested payment of the correct amount, the payment you received was short, presumably due to intervening bank charges. I was only then asked to provide my credit card details to pay the shortfall. It would have been so much easier if i had been offered the option of paying by credit card to start with. Also i have yet to even receive the item that i purchased, so sending me a request for feedback prematurely is quite annoying.

Firstly thank you for your custom and feedback. We do apologise we do not accept credit cards and the difficulty you have faced on making this international payment. Regarding credit cards we have our reasons why we do not accept them. These are documented in a blog due to the frequency we get asked about this topic. We did accept your credit card payment for the balance as good will due to the small monetary value which also removed the need for you to perform a second bank transfer. Due to the international shipping we have asked for your review before the product has turned up so apologise for this to - we have changed our settings so customers are asked for a review after 10 days instead of 7 which hopefully prevents this issue in the future for you and other customers. Hi. Having bought for the first time from Chard and paid a reasonable price, deliver was as expected and without event.
On opening the contents was extremely surprised to find that although the said product of value was well wrapped it did not have a PASTIC BAG protective covering (eg a plastic envelope). This was very disappointing in view of the delicate product. I am aware that they do not come in capsules and that capsules are extra.

Good morning Barrie, firstly thank you for your feedback. We pack our coins into plastic bags and protective cardboard packaging so if your reference to a plastic envelope is a coin capsule I can confirm we do not include these as standard with every coin as this slightly increases prices for every customer whether they want a capsule or not. When buying bullion coins this can increase the price too much in some instances. We do however sell capsules and often link this on the product pages. The product page in question already has a link to the relevant coin capsule for customers who would like to buy one. In order to deliver a better customer service we can try to make this more obvious in future. Regards, Ian
