The very expensive optic I purchased arrived with the factory seal broken. When I complained that this is not normal when paying retail they tried to pass it off as standard practice to check the optic before shipping it out. What a load.

That is correct. We spot check a number of scopes before leaving. Nothing went missing or used, right? Looks like you also got the advantage of a pricing error of $500. I would think you would be quite happy. You had the opportunity to return if you were not happy.
