The quality of this e-collar is excellent, feels much more sturdy than cheaper options. The buttons are placed well so you can easily push them without looking. The videos on the website make setting it up a breeze, and the training videos by Jeff Gellman are very helpful. Since I camp with my dogs, I love that it has a light option that turns on remotely.

My biggest issue, and the reason for 4 stars vs. 5, is that the contact points that come with the collar are really not helpful with a thick/ double coated breed. I have to adjust the collar uncomfortably tight, which makes finding the working level nearly impossible because he's then too focused on the collar for me to accurately tell where his level is. We've been able to make it work so far, but it's not feasible for me to keep adjusting it when we're trying to work.

Now, I realize I can purchase new contact points. And that's what I'm doing. What's kind of irritating is the added cost for me because I have a thick coated dog. It would have been nice to be able to use this item properly right out of the box. With shipping, the extra contact points will cost over $15.

It seems like it would be a better to have an option for people purchasing this device to choose whether it's for a short, thick, or long coated dog, and then send along the appropriate range of contact points, instead of expecting some of us to pay extra.

We have a new puppy and she is deaf but we have other hearing dogs as well. How do you call her when she is playing in the yard if she can't hear you? The vibration collar takes the place of her name being called it takes a bit longer than a hearing dog for her to respond as if her name was called but not by much with positive reinforcement she loves feeling the vibration and she comes running now every time. Thanks for a great product!!!!!

I was upset that I was charged additional $139 apon delivery after already paying shipping & handling at the boarder , also both face plates seem very lose

EZ 900 e-collar is a great tool to train dogs and sometimes it can even save dog's life.
The only thing I want to pay attention on is that from the box "INSTANT" feature on my transmitter was disabled. It can be activated only from computer via USB cable(included). Unfortunately there is no information about it in the instruction manual provided. So I found the answer on internet forums.
Everything else is just great. Thank you for that product

Unlike other brands, I haven't found any complaints about dogs getting burned or falsely "shocked" when it wasn't intended, and that's been my experience as well since I bought my first one a few years ago and recently upgraded to this Pro model.

My dog is deaf and I purchased the educator mostly because it was also one of the few collars with a vibrate function so that I can get the dog's attention without a punishment. But the stimulation works as well since my dog doesn't hear "No" and the ability for a momentary or ramping stimulation is perfect for not being cruel to an animal that can't get auditory warnings.
Programming by USB cable connected to my PC was one of the easiest interfaces I've ever worked with and was a great way to customize how the remote works.

So it's almost perfect...the only improvements I wish it had: The light control is rather difficult to get to. In fact, my son accidentally reprogrammed some buttons trying to turn the light on. Which brings me to the other (albeit minor) complaint, it is extremely confusing and difficult reprogramming from the remote, especially when compared to doing so by computer.

Another reason I bought the Pro series is because it can add additional dogs/collars in the future and intend to do so. I haven't tested the system with two dogs yet, but it looks like it's a system that also could use some improvement.

I am pleased with my purchase of the ET-300 Mini and definitely feel I received a quality product worth the price I paid. I have a 75lb Pointer-American Staffordshire Terrier Mix and it works well on him even at a lower setting. The unit has been instrumental in aiding him to focus, learn commands, and be more in tune and responsive to me - all without any abusive level of stimulation whatsoever. Consistency is key. The unit is easy to use and charges quickly. In my opinion, it is definitely worth paying a little more for than the others.

I bought this as a tool to use in training my new deaf rescue. We've just begun but he is responding well already. I love the fact I can use such a low setting to get his attention...I feel comfortable using this new technology as part of a positive training program.

Beautifully made. Did not give 5 stars as I wish the collar could get smaller almost to the end on a 16" neck.
