I did use a well qualified trainer to help me understand canine thought process and how to effectively use the Educator Mini. I was shocked at just how low a number (5!!) you can get results from. You do NOT need to hurt your dog; that is not the objective. The educator mini is sooo easy to work with and such a well thought out product. A friend trains all her dogs with it. If near MEMPHIS use Bryan Bailey of Tame the Wild (in your dog). I have worked with six trainers before but he is the best.

This collar is working perfectly. It's so gentle and my dog has responded wonderfully. I'm very happy I got the stimulation reducer because my dog responds even on the lowest of levels.

I'd also like to add that I'm pretty sure this collar saved my dogs life this past weekend when an off leash dog attacked her and went for her throat and got a mouth full of collar instead of her jugular, she was still injured and bleeding but it was a superficial wound and I believe it would have been much worse if she hadn't been wearing the collar.

I wish more people would train their dogs to understand "NO", this collar makes it so easy that there really is no excuse.

I have raised and trained German Shepards for the military, private security, etc . I have been through every cooler known to man. This hands down does exactly what it says ity does. Its strong enough to get a dog's attention without making then yelp. Its never left a mark. This collar is amazing I have five dog's with 3 collars, I will upgrade to the final 4th collar soon. It controls each of them perfect. Collars last 36 hrs on my dog's . It reaches a little more than a mile. Fully submersible . By it you will not be sorry

The collar has worked like a charm. We are extremely happy and thrilled with how quickly it has trained our GSD. We were at our ropes end with getting him to behave. Now he is charming, and well behaved. Even the tone gets results. Adults are beyond extremely happy. We have to admit that we were skeptical that it would work - no more.

We hired a dog trainer for our 12 year old rescue because we were tired of dealing with his "issues" such as barking non stop at people that come over, trying to sneak up behind them and bite their feet/ankles, etc. She introduced us to this collar and it has changed all of our lives. Marshall operates on a level 2 most of the time which we couldn't even feel when strapped to our forearms. He seems to LOVE when we put it on, he is calmer, happier and so are we. I highly recommend either using a trainer to introduce this to your dog or watching Youtube videos from someone like Sean O'Shea so you know what you are doing. We just purchased another one for our new puppy, if you are thinking about it don't hesitate!!!

The straps can be fashioned to fit the dogs' necks so the control collars stay tight. Since they don't wear the collars all the time the quick snaps are much more convenient than the original collars that needed to be adjusted each time.

This collar has allowed amazing improvement in just a week. The multiple forms of "enticement" (stimulation, vibration, and tone) and the fact that you can program each button exactly for what you want it to do allow unlimited versatility. This collar is well worth the money.

I originally purchased a Petsafe collar and remote. Was very unhappy. Didn’t hold a charge and would shut off w/ no warning in the field. Returned it and bought the Educator ET-800. Has held a charge well, love the various features, including the vibrate/tone options, locking intensity, and lit readout on remote for night time use, as well as light on collar to locate dog/collar in the dark. Wish the tone was a slight bit louder, but otherwise very happy thus far w/ quality and durability of this product.

Easy to use, convenient remote. Vibrate works well. Having some difficulty getting stim to work on Sheltie as fur is very thick and it is difficult to make contact, although similar issue with dogtra collar. I am quite satisfied with it so far

I live out in the country. My Golden Retrievers would sometimes not come when called. I heard about this ecollar while watching solid K9 training videos by Jeff Gellman online. Now my 2 Golden Retrievers return every time I call them. They are much calmer in the house as well. I have the collars set at a very low level (7). And it works great! I would recommend working with a trainer or watching Videos online so that you use this training collar correctly.

Great remote. I am a dog trainer and this is the only remote collar I use . I have 4 myself and all my clients use them.

I went through two different cheap e-collar systems before a trainer friend recommended this one to me. At first I didn't want to spend the money, but I saved up and I am so happy I went with this one. The waterproof feature is worth its weight in gold! My dog and I swim all the time and both the receiver and transmitter have been completely submerged on many occasions and still work perfectly, the transmitter floats, albeit just below the surface. My only negative feeling I have about it is the round shape of the remote, and the lack of belt clip. I would prefer the traditional shaped remote, I found those easier to fit in my hand, and those usually have a belt clip built into them. With this one you have to buy a belt clip separately. The lanyard is ok but I much prefer to have it clipped to my shirt collar or pants when I am hiking rather than swinging loosely from my neck. I thought about going with another brand for that reason but I couldn't stand spending $100 more on a Dogtra system with the same features just for the remote shape. When it is time to purchase another system I may go with one of Educator's 900 series. Other than that, training with this has gone great, the receiver has an almost instant response time to the remote, and all of the features come in very handy. I use the vibration before stim, and I almost never have to give stim any more because of that. I also use the light on the receiver all the time, it's great for walks at night even when my dog is wearing her leash, so cars can see us. All in all I highly recommend this collar system. Despite my qualms about the remote shape, I admit it is convenient having the buttons sitting right at your finger tips. The way they are set up, the vibration is under your thumb, the stim is under your index finger, and the boost is under your middle finger, so you always know you are hitting the right button as long as you use the corresponding finger. If you are on the fence about this system, I encourage you to take the plunge. I debated myself on it for weeks and my only regret is I wish I had tried it first rather than third. Educator customer service is fantastic. Last bit of advice is definitely seek out a good trainer to use any e-collar. I had only ever done positive training so I got help and that made it so much better. If you use them wrong you can really screw up your dog so if you have no experience with them then definitely have someone teach you the right way to use it and do your research.
