After three wonderful years of having no problems whatsoever, this last year was anything but wonderful. It was problems after problems that seemed to go on endlessly. It was upsetting not only to me but the student and her family. We didn't think the loan would be done in time and it did end up being distributed later than it should have, leaving the student to find the funds to pay for her rent by borrowing money to cover it until funds were available. Thank goodness this is the last year we all have to go through this. I don't think I could weather the storm again.

This was the first time we request a loan for Education purposes and the experience with EDvestinU was absolutely wonderful.
We had a few issues that were quickly escalated and fixed by staff, always able to talk to a person and received excellent service.
I cannot recommend them enough, I'm absolutely glad we chose them for my daughter's college loan.

3 stars -- The process seemed a bit invasive. I felt uncomfortable sharing some of the information online and concerned that it might open myself and my son to scams. And my son's bank account was actually hacked in August and not that I know the information came from this process but it confirmed my anxious feeling. It was a lot of private information and I realize it is necessary but it felt very intense and over the top.

Overall, positive experience obtaining school loan through EDvestinu. We were just not aware of the length of time needed to process before the start of school at the end of August. We started the process early July, will need to start earlier next time!
There was some confusion about my (cosigner/parent) income over the month previous when filling out application. I work as a school nurse so my June income was a summer lump sum, but May showed biweekly deposits. I thought there must be other teachers/educators/certified school personnel who are applying for these loans, it can't be this confusing. Hope not to have to jump through those hoops next summer.
