I plan on using EDvestinU for my children's educational funding again. The application process was easy, interest rates were below any other lenders, communications were good, and the money was distributed on time. No complaints during any of loan process.

In general., the borrowing process was relatively easy. I’d simply point out two issues, one minor and one more serious. The first involves the interest rate, which was a little higher than other channels. We have twins and took out a loan with a different lender for the same amount at the same time for our son, but it had slightly better conditions. Second and more importantly, his loan was disbursed in its entirety rather than piecemeal. I want to assume that this is EdvestinU’s method, and not her college. But it essentially means that after we’d signed the papers, we discovered that we’d be paying interest on the entirety of the loan even though only half would be immediately disbursed. That’s quite disappointing, and will cause us to reconsider our options next year.

EDvestinU has helped now for two of my three children. The process to ensure they have tuition for college is simple and the portals are easy to use. I have had the opportunity to reach out to customer service and the individuals on the phone are as pleasant as my experience with portal. The communication via email with updates on our loan application and disbursement is extremely valuable. The interest rates are high. We received notices that NH residents were eligible for rare reductions but we did not seem to experience that.

Often we would be informed about updates on a Friday and resubmit by following Monday and then no update until Friday again. It just prolonged the process.
