First and foremost, what probably matters most when taking out a student loan is the interest rates, and EDvestinU was far and away the winner in this category. As far as applying for the loan, it was fairly straightforward, but the downloading of documents was troublesome at times, and the shear amount of documents needed to apply was daunting. But all in all, I've had a really good experience with EDvestinU.

I was feeling overwhelmed with the number of offers coming in the mail and seeing online and not knowing if I was getting the best deal. Then I found Credible. Our credit rating is around 750 and combined income is approximately $150,0000. Even though I wanted my junior in college to now take on some of the debt, I didn’t want him paying more than the Parent Plus Loan. That was my threshold. On Credible, the big players all offered rates above 9%. However, they had 2 companies I was not familiar with who gave me much better rates. I moved forward with EDvestinU who gave me a rate of 6.1% before adding the autopay discount.
I could have gone back to Juno, for the price match and 1% cash back, but the people at EDvestinU were so responsive and easy to talk to (I actually spoke to the same lady twice), I wanted to stay with them. It was a very personal experience.

All the information I needed were accessible and I could clearly see what dates my loan would be disbursed, and when I checked with the school, it was actually disbursed on that date. There weren't any delays and they're really up to date on everything.
