Kershaw Iridium (KE-2038)
Really love this knife! Cross bar lock action is great. Knife arrived super sharp with great ergonomics, use all my knifes at work and this one works great. I would personally chose this product over the Benchmade Bugout esp considering the price difference. Super happy with my purchase and would recommend this knife to everyone đ

Benchmade Steep Country Stonewashed Boltaron (15006-01)
I lost this beauty on the hunt of my life last year and had to buy another! Itâs a perfect balance between many applicationsâŠwas lucky enough to clean a huge bill caribou before I lost her. Her name was stabby. đ

Have many Spyderco knives, but I find the Endura 4 fits my hand and in my pocket so well, its my favourite. I will no doubt order another Endura at some point.

Kizer Cormorant Nitro-V G10 Pink (V4562A2)
Anyone familiar with Yue Dong's masterpiece will want to latch onto one of these new Nitro V variants. The G10 is phenomenally grippy, and the throw-back styling is sure to please old school gamers, too.

Kansept Main Street Micarta Green (T1015V6)
I've always been a big proponent of the Wharncliffe blade. It's a great, no-nonsense shape for all sorts of workplace/job site cutting tasks, and just as importantly, the hard straight edge of a genuine Wharncliffe blade is very, very easy to freehand sharpen relative to other blade shapes. No need to worry about introducing inconsistencies in the edge angle on the (non-existent) belly, and there's minimal risk of rounding off the blade's tip.
But the Wharncliffe blade isn't all there is to recommend the Dirk Pinkerton-designed Main Street as a work folder. There is also the handleâit has enough size and a subtle curve to feel comfortable and stable in hand while bearing down on it in a hammer grip, but is still neutral enough that it can be securely manipulated in more unconventional and atypical ways, as is sometimes necessary when I am working. The Micarta handle scales have a good texture to them. I don't know if it's actual Norplex Micartaâprobably not, at this price pointâbut I can actually feel the fibers of the resin-impregnated material.
The Main Street's blade steel is Crucible's 154CM, a great choice that is perfectly in line with the Main Street's list price. It's not the latest-and-greatest particle metallurgy or micro-melt process steel, but like Takefu's VG10, when properly heat treated, its edge retention can approach the low-end of CPM S35VN & it has enough toughness, edge stability & corrosion-resistance for most reasonable folding knife use contexts. Performance-wise, it is like a stainless, easier-to-maintain D2 (again, with the assumption that heat treat is on point).
As far as the locking mechanism, the Main Street has a crossbar lock (i.e., an "Axis-style" lock), which is a very strong, finger-safe & easy-to-actuate ambidextrous lock. It's also quite fidgety, for the people who are into that sort of thing.
The Main Street isn't perfect, of course. This Micarta-handled version is a bit of a chonk at about 130 grams (a little over 4.5 oz.), thanks to the full-length, skeletonized steel liners. Don't get me wrong, the full-length steel liners give the Main Street a great feeling of solidity, but that robustness does come with a slight penalty to ease-of-carry. Also contributing to this is the mass of the blade that comes from the combination of the 3.175 mm (0.125") blade stock & the blade's mid-height sabre grind. This doesn't negatively impact the knife's cutting performance as much as one would thinkâthe broad blade means it has room to come down to a reasonably thin BTE thickness. But it definitely adds to the knife's overall heft, though at least it is perfectly balanced, with the blade offsetting the handle's weight.
Another nitpick I have with this particular version of the Main Street is with the coated thumb studs. The bright green coatingâwhether it is paint or PVD, I am not sureâgives the knife a bit more visual pop, but it is a bit slick, and I've found my thumb slipping off & fumbling the opening occasionally when deploying the blade with wet/sweaty hands. Not a big deal, all things considered, but it isn't an issue I have to deal with when using the G10-handled version of the Main Street (which has uncoated thumb studs).
And finally, this model could have used additional mounting holes that allow for left-handed clip attachment. It already has ambidextrous thumb studs & an ambidextrous lock, Kansept was this close to making it fully left-hander friendly. It's 2024, & it's somewhat disappointing that being fully ambidextrous still isn't a standard feature in crossbar-locking knives.
All in all, however, I recommend the Main Street as a work folder and as a larger EDC knife. It offers excellent functionality/ergonomics & good materials at a decent price.

Benchmade Dacian Spear Point Micarta Blue (203)
It will be a great EDC blade for the farm and work. It's flat, a decent size, and easy to carry. The sheath is garbage, an unfortunate mistake by Benchmade. I've already order a kydex from Armatus Carry. The Dacian is too expensive, especially with the stock sheath.
