Spyderco Matriarch 2 FRN Emerson Opener Black Blade (C12SBBK2W)
This thing is amazingly beautiful and sharp. The Emerson opener is such a neat feature that makes this knife a “quick draw”. The black coating on the blade and black handle along with the contrast of the edge being silver is a sight for sore eyes. Granted that this knife isn’t your EDC utility knife, it’s a welcome addition to my collection.

Kershaw Radar (KE-5560)
I like the knife. Presently it is a little stiff to open but it should work out with a little use

So true, but if it stays too stiff you can try loosening it slightly with a torq, some assisted knives just come a little too tightened.

CRKT M21-14SFG Serrated (M21-14SFG)
The full hilt makes this a very safe knife for low light, wet, or high stress applications. The veff serrations stay sharp for a long time and are easy to sharpen later. I’ll definitely buy another, if I ever need it.

CRKT Provoke First Responder with Sheath (4042)
The build quality and overall design is 5 stars.
It’s definitely more of a tactical knife vs EDC. It’s not the most ergonomical knife for every day tasks.

Kershaw Payout (2075)
Thin, not noticeable in your pocket by you or others. Nice edge, and nice assisted action once broken in. The handle has nice ergonomics. Honestly I see nothing bad about this knife.

Kershaw Bracket (3455)
Love the size and weight, fits nicely in the hand but doesn’t feel bulky in a pocket. Out of the box the hinge seemed a bit stiff and the assisted opening needed some extra force but after a few days of use it’s super smooth and flicks open with ease.

Glad to hear you let it work in, assisted knives do come a little tight to start but just need some love!

CIVIVI Maxwell Black G10 (C21040-1)
This has quickly become my favourite (large) EDC, at least for around the camp or when hiking. The knife itself has heft and while the blade looks a bit odd, it works well for everything from slicing to food prep. The sheath has good retention and overall the knife carries high on the waist keeping it both in-reach and out of the way when riding in a truck or ATV. Sharp from the box, with a grippy handle and very nice fit and finish. I thought I would ditch the lanyard as soon as I got it but I actually quite like it... ensuring the knife is always within reach.

CIVIVI Bhaltair Coarse G10 Tan (C23024-2)
This is a great knife. It really has heft. Action and finish are perfect and the handle is very grippy. It is on the large side so perfect for around the campsite, garden, or garage, and maybe so for EDC in the office. Very sharp right from the box.

Its hard not to love Civivi. If you are looking for a more casual carry, I have to recommend an Elementum. Maybe the button lock if you have larger hands, but a great date date EDC =)
