CIVIVI Exarch Black Rubbed Copper Damascus Clad (C2003DS-2)
The typical Civivi quality you expect. Fast smooth action, love the sharp damascus blade and rubbed copper finish. Knife is on the heavier side, but expected that and like it

Another great choice Sam, I was so shocked to see it wasn't a Civivi! This Boker can go from a suit pocket to work no problem. A beauty for sure!

Shun Classic 2 Pc Starter Set (DMS0245)
I opened the box only to check them out, as they're a gift. I was expecting something way more fantastic. They feel cheap and sound like they were stamped instead of forged. The truth is in the pudding so I'll wait until actual use to make a final judgment.

CRKT Provoke Compact (4045)
Great unique knife. Too bad you need 2 hands to retract the blade.

Hi Harry, That does not sound like the Provoke I am familiar with. Are you holding it in a way that you can use your thumb to just push down on the blade? The ones I have fiddled with are very easy to deploy. Please let us know if yours is not working properly -we will be happy to help. Email us at service@houseofknives.ca

Nice basic lock back EDC. Solid construction and sharp out of the box. It is a little stiff to open but hopefully get easier to open with use as time goes on. Its the same great Kabar quality I've come to know and enjoy.

Byrd Robin 2 Blue FRN (BY10PBL2)
Great little Knife. Fits in my jeans 5th pocket nicely. I added a small FOB to the lanyard hole for extra grip retention and for pocket removal. The only thing that would make Spyderco knives better, in my opinion, would be if they had a deep carry pocket clip. The inch of handle that sticks up out of pocket tends to get in the way when trying to retrieve other items out of pocket. All in all, an excellent knife brand and I highly recommend.

Hey Jared, Have you thought about sharing your thoughts with Spyderco? They and most other knife manufacturers have a "contact us" section on their website. I am sure they want to hear ideas from people such as yourself who are avid knife collectors.
