I purchased the s&p set for my husband and he absolutely loves them.

All of my Shun Premier knives are magnificent, and this little one is no exception.

With the current situation of restaurants not being open, there has been much more focus on cooking at home and trying new recipes. This knife was chosen to make the task of preparing meals much easier. The knife itself has a good feel in your hand and has a good weight to it. The blade is substantial and holds well if you want to use a pinch grip. The knife comes out of the package razor sharp and is very effective for slicing, dicing, chopping, and mincing. In the past month, I have used it to slice meats (cooked and uncooked) and vegetables. I was able to separate uncooked chicken drumettes from wingettes, and remove the wing tips with ease with the Fusion Touch 8” Chef’s knife. This knife is a good value buy for the every day chef in your home. In the short term, it has been great. I do not run it through the dishwasher, and so I anticipate that it will last for many years.

This was my first Civivi. Overall very impressed, for the price.
The edge was perfect and very sharp. The cut-out in the blade is a little tricky for thumb or flick opening. The lock-up is precise, firm and loud. The detent is firm, almost a little too stiff for such a small knife that is a little hard to handle in large hands. This will be resolved with oil and adjusting the fastener.
The orange scales are nicely contoured although very smooth/slippery for G10. The colour is not as solid and plasticky looking as the picture implies and has a slight darkening/shadowing/texturing from the G10 that actually looks really good in person.
The machining of the metal is precise with sharp edges, specially around the liner lock release.
The deep carry pocket clip is very strong, and works perfectly. The end of the clip sticks out ever so slightly too much and has abrupt angles, so clothing or jackets sometime catch on it. Had the knife pop out of the pocket once from that.
My biggest complaint is the tiny size, but that is my fault for not properly reviewing the specs before purchasing.
Great little EDC knife that is very useful and comfortably carries in the pocket.

I have one at home, and I gifted one to my brother in law. This is the knife that I use to cut fish, tomatoes, etc., and I’m taking better care of this knlfe than my older ones.

Bought this for a second time because it's my fave and I lost the first one.
