Leatherman Wave Plus Multi Tool (832524)
I ordered this 15 days ago and still have received it. So asking to review an item that has not arrived is very distasteful.

Great wallet. Works well. The cash holder is a bit weird, but otherwise love it.
The blue and orange is amazing.

Spyderco Para Military 2 (C81GP2)
Although this is a highly popular, praised, well liked and reviewed knife, but to me for some reason, it doesn't look and feel that special or that great in quality when held in hand compared to the Cold Steel Recon 1 CS27BS.
I would also like to relocate the clip to the other end.

Thats very fair, its not gonna be the perfect fit for everyone. I do love that Spyderco makes moving the clip so easy though eh

I needed to order 2 for Xmas gifts but was able to get one only with difficulty. Wasn’t impressed that there was very few sets when they were on sale. It looked like you put a limit of one but didn’t state that.

Sorry for any confusion on this one but I believe we simply only had 1 in stock, if we had more we would have had no issue selling you multiples. Hopefully we get stock soon if you are still interested
Thank you

Spyderco Reveal 14 Chaparral Lightweight Gray XHP (C152SGY)
The edge on this tool was scary sharp right out of the box. After a mild stropping, it is now even more so.
This tool is light and slim, absolutely disappearing into the pocket.
I highly recommend as an EDC.

loved it so much I bought a second! there is exactly ONE issue with this knife, and it's that the stop pin lands on the sharpening choil, giving this knife a lifespan. everything else is simply perfect!!

Thanks for the feedback and repeat business Rowan! We’re glad to hear you love the Civivi Vision FG so much that you grabbed a second one. Appreciate the note about the stop pin and sharpening choil—that’s helpful insight. Sounds like overall it’s a near-perfect knife for you!

CRKT Razel Compact (4036)
Just bought a second! I adore this knife. it's got great ergos for a three-finger grip, the blade itself is a great performer for anything you throw at it, the flat serrations on the top are more useful than you'd expect, and the chisel face... well, this knife was built to be used like a scraper and a prybar and it definitely succeeds at that!
the big issue is the terrible sheathe. it's a massive kydex pancake on a compact edc knife, meaning the carry profile is the same as some of the smaller bushcrafters I have. absolute no brainer to make it a taco sheathe. also why is it so long?! it covers over half the handle, which is entirely unnecessary and adds yet more bulk to the sheathe, while also making the knife harder to get a purchase on to pull it out. the knife is genuinely fantastic but be aware that you'll likely want to modify the sheathe or buy an aftermarket one.

Thanks for the detailed feedback, Rowan! We’re thrilled to hear you love the CRKT Razel Compact—great ergonomics, versatile blade, and the chisel face make it a real workhorse. Appreciate your honest thoughts on the sheath—your notes about the size and carry profile will definitely help other users and highlight where an aftermarket or modified sheath could improve the experience. Sounds like the knife itself is still a standout in your collection!

crkt minimalx

CRKT MinimalX (5915)
pros: great blade shape! much like the Razel before it, but with the profiles inverted. where the Razel blade has a belly and the blunt chisel end is flat, the Minimalx has a straight blade and a secondary bladed edge at the end with the slightest belly that makes for a great rocker knife. the meeting point of the two blade profiles makes for a tanto-esque tip that excels at utility cuts, and the fullers make it feather light as well despite the relatively thick blade stock.
cons: oh boy, where to start... I suppose the combination of the flipper tab and its mirror position on the blade stock — the base of the blade is perfectly square, in line with the aesthetics of the knife, but this means that your fingers can slide right off the 90 degree flipper tab, and inversely the 90 degree corner on the opposite side can land on your finger if you don't open it just right, leading to the blade stopping short before fully deploying. I fumble opening the knife a solid 30% of the time.
the lockup is solid once its in place, but it often needs a little help to fully click into place after deploying.
closing the knife requires you use your fingernail on the lockbar, as there is no cutout on the frame to give you any purchase and the lockbar itself is entirely untextured.
the milled pocket clip rides high and the "minimalist" knife sticks out of your pocket like a sore thumb, which is just a very silly design mistake to make in 2025.
to cap it all off, the factory edge could barely cut paper and I had to do a full sharpening before using it a single time.
there's so many little mistakes in this design, on top of the fact that it feels built for form and not function. I really like the blade itself and I hope to see more from CRKT like it, but this knife is a huge dud.

QSP Knife Penguin Satin G10 Jade (QS130-V)
In all honesty, I don't like folding knives. I beat my knives up, so I like full tang fixed blades that are ready to rumble... That being said, this folder is trying its hardest to change my mind. The blade shape comes in handy for safely completing every task I've asked of it, and while it wasn't as sharp as I'd hoped from the box, a quick little bit of fun with my fixed angle sharpening system, and some regular maintenance on the strop has made this knife remarkably slicey, while the d2 steel holds that edge , even thru some rough treatment.. this knife should last me years, assuming I don't lose it(another reason I avoid folders generally hahaha). Thanks house of knives, for the excellent black Friday sale that convinced me to buy this beauty!

Shun Classic 8" Chef's Knife (DM0706)
I purchased a Shun knife for almost $300. The blade chipped during regular use 6 months in. Their response was contact Shun. Im never impressed when a retailer sells the product but their client service passes the buck. Now I'm chasing down Shun. I would not buy a knife this way again.

Hi George,
I looked through our records and couldn’t find a ticket for this issue. I’m sorry to hear that your Shun knife has chipped! While chips and tip breaks aren’t covered under the manufacturer’s warranty, a skilled sharpening service should be able to repair it and get it back to great working condition.
