Benchmade Mini Barrage (585)
First, I want to compliment the staff at the Nanaimo store, where I have bought several items recently. Staff are professional, informed, and service oriented. Regarding the Benchmade Mini-Barrage, this is one of my go-to EDC knives: compact, durable, ambidextrous, and fast. The 154cm steel holds up well, and really like the sub-3-inch drop point as a general purpose blade. It slices much better than my Osborne 940-2 due to different blade geometry. I like the 940-2 for its own merits, but when I need to get a lot of slicing done fast (e.g. cutting up boxes, etc.) it's the Mini-Barrage I go for, despite the shorter blade. Overall, I'm glad I bought this knife, and was very pleased with the service at the Nanaimo store.

EdgeLogix Pen-Shaped Diamond Sharpener (T0825D)
The Edgelogix pen diamond sharpener is compact, lightweight, and convenient for a variety of sharpening uses(e.g. plain-edged blades, serrated blades, and fishhooks). It can be stowed in a shirt or jacket pocket and forgotten about until needed in the field. It gives a "toothy" working edge from the 480 grit stones used to make it. In all, this is a perfect tool for fishermen, hunters, and outdoor enthusiasts who value lightening gear and maintaining function. This is a recommended product!
