Purchased the mighty mini 30 chainring for my fat bike BBSHD build. Gearing and torque is much better than the factory steel chainring. Plus the Luna is far lighter. The quality and finish is great. Looks and function all in one.

Needed spacers as my motor didn't quite fit the bottom bracket and these helped get a proper fitment. For a few bucks, I'd recommend getting while ordering your kit as it saves you on having to order later if you need it.

Going through Luna was the right choice. Their support and help on getting the right products was amazing. I looked at buying the BBSHD directly from Amazon but it would take guessing at what the right accessories and parts I would need. Luna made it easy and the spacers and parts made it much easier. Came in a beautiful box and with the custom crankset (36T), I have a very powerful MTB now!

Install was easy and got all the parts I wanted. I like the Luna logo on the display and the motor over the Bafang too.

My only regrets are that I wish I had ordered the 52v Luna Direwolf battery. I ended up getting an Amazon 48v 17.5ma and for about the same would have had a much higher quality and more powerful setup with Luna.

I've only had this bike for 6 weeks, everything works like it should and is well put together. It's an absolute blast to ride through the trails! I got the 2500w upgrade- that with the wide gear selection allows you to always be in the sweet spot no matter the terrain. Ebikes make getting your exercise exciting due to the ability to always maintain a good momentum at all times...its fun like a dirt bike (motorized), but you get exercise while ripping the trails. I run the tires at about 10lbs for a nice smooth ride, the tires soak up the small bumps. I wish I would have ordered the suspension seat post with the bike- cost me $75 ordering after the fact (my fault). This thing is making me look forward to getting in shape.

Love my Luna fusion. I’m 61 years old and and didn’t get out much cuz of knee problems. Now I’m out almost every day and have dropped 30 pounds. Best thing I ever did for myself. Works great with my Juiced Scrambler

Having seen no Norco Scene 1 conversions, I took a chance and ordered the Bafang BBS02 Mid Drive eBike Kit. When I received it, i slid the unit into the bottom bracket and it stopped after having gotten about 1/2 way through. The Scene 1 has an exit port at the bottom of the frame for the hydraulic brake line and rear shift cable. I had to disconnect the hydraulic line and reroute it outside the bike frame. No big deal, just had to bleed the brake line. Then with just a file, I shaved off the lower lip of the exit port cover. Removed little more than 1/16". Does not compromise the frame structural integrity. Left the shift cable where it was. Then the assembly/ conversion was easy. One issue, I tightened the spanner nut as tight as I could with the Luna tool, and after 2 weeks it came loose.
Tightened it again and now I've purchased a "real" spanner wench to secure it better. I'm 72 years old and the pedal assist takes the load off my good knee and my replacement knee. Assist 1 and 2 are generally more than enough.

The standard chain ring is working well so far. It gave me good chain line but I had to reduce my cassette from 9 cogs down to 7. I started with six cogs first and then went to 7. Still has 9 speed spacing, just fewer cogs. I am thinking of try 8. Why do I only give it a 4? because it is heavy. BTW, I am using this on a road bike. 48 tooth on a 28/11 cassette. It is more than fast enough with the BBS02. I use pedal assist only.

I took my bike in for a wheel bearing replacement and my bike tech showed me that the motor was moving around too much at 1,200 miles. The bottom brackets came loose and though I was able to tighten it back up with the special LUNA wrench, I knew it would eventually be loose again. I bought the LUNA stabilizer bar and a couple of hose clamps and put it on by myself no problem!. It is rock solid now! Even my bike tech was impressed because he knows I don’t have his talent for working on bikes.

Came quickly after the order was placed. Just picking up a spare in case I need it.

The kit came in good order, shipping was a bit expensive but I live about literally as far from the store as possibly could be on the east coast. Now I understood what I was getting into when I purchased the motor but I did run into issues with the motor. The motor was technically dead on arrival. From the factory they had put far, far, too much silicon on the connectors inside of the controller and motor housing and it lead to receiving errors on the display. Got a h08 and h11 error as soon as we plugged the battery in. We were giving the motor a full service before installing it anyways so we fixed the problem when we had the motor apart to regrease it. Removed all the factory silicon with a knife, reseated the connectors, redid the silicon ourselves. Fixed it perfectly. Not a horribly tough job but it was annoying we had to do it.

However, all of that aside, we got the motor installed, have re-greased LIBERALLY on the inside with mobile 28, and the kit is able to power this nearly 300 pound man up steep hills at 20mph on thumb throttle alone. If your a DIY kinda person and understand how to navigate through mechnical and electrical challenges and aren't afraid to tackle a big project like this, the BBSHD kit is an incredible purchase.

If you are up to the challenge, this kit will reward you several times over and save you thousands upon thousands off manu ebike cost and will be far more capable than any ebike you could buy in a store. I do knock a star off because of the after mentioned motor issue but it wasn't hard to overcome and we'd had plans to take it apart anyways.

This fixed my bike! Now I keep a spare throttle, speed sensor, and wiring harness because they're cheap and the easiest things to replace when it stops working.
