Love the bike

I picked up one of these cyclone kits a few weeks back and paired it with x8 12 amp hour milwaukee tool batteries for 72v 24ah. And it goes and goes and goes. I was able to get around 30 miles of basically pedal free riding out of it with moderate throttle and not really trying to save battery... it's actually legitimate transportation!.. I've probably put on 150- 200 miles on it so far and overall I'm very very happy with how it turned out!.. I want to buy a second kit and run two cyclones side by side one on top of another so I can maintain higher speeds when it's really windy or going long distance, I was thinking of running two throttles one on either side of the handle bars so I could activate one motor at a time! I'm just waiting for more cyclones to be in stock!

It's great. The buttons feel solid, the haptic feedback shakes the handlebars in a very satisfying way. Displays just the information I want in nice big gauges, easy to set up...it's basically everything Luna's flavor text says it is in the description above. :)

If I had a complaint, it's that it's difficult to read the numeric readouts with polarized sunglasses. But the gauges are still quite visible and I wouldn't think of replacing it.

I did my reading, and thought I was prepared, but as it turned out the install was even *easier* than I thought. Ordered with a Wolf pack. Like riding downhill all the way, in both directions, and plenty of range. I initially held back on power, but find that it's hard to drain the pack if I do any meaningful pedaling at all. Could probably get by with a smaller battery, but it's nice to not really have to worry about it. I couldn't imagine being happy with one of the standard 250W/20mph rigs that are all over town now. (oh, so *that's* who keeps passing me on my road bike and then slowing down, I get it now)

Fit without any problems, shims, or washers on my late 90's steel frame Rockhopper, with a 68mm BB and a nice narrow mountain bike profile. My bottom bracket came off easily, surprise! There was nothing else interesting about the build either. The most exotic part of the build is that I shortened the power cable, and reworked my rear cassette using a GearClamp. OK TBH I'm also a bit scared that I'll twist the downtube clean off the bike removing the battery from the magnet mounts, but I have no plans to remove the battery again for the next 3 years. The wiring harness made it impossible to wire up wrong and I never referred to the manual. I recommend the advanced smart charger, I didn't order one at first and it's annoying to try to charge to 80% without it! And definitely get the bottom bracket wrench if you don't already have one. That thing needs to be tight!

What I'm saying is: order one, it's good.

Nice quality, fits and looks fine. Could cover a bit more, I used a fatbike fender to extend this one.

Superbe quality of components, detailed instrucrions make complicated installation possible. I still did not understand how to check if the belt tension is fine with the smartphone application, as the results I can get are either null or much higher than the desired 80-100 Hz.

Always helpful over 2 years and lots of parts later still going back satisfied
That has to mean something.

nice chainring perfect. makes this bike fly😄

Great product! Perfect size for my daily commute.

Works and looks great with our CYC X1 Pro Gen 2 chain drive motor/controller on an old Santa Cruz Blur LTB full suspension mountain bike conversion. It has plenty of juice for fast acceleration and fits perfectly in the triangle beneath the shock. We designed and 3D printed a support for under the mounting bracket for extra support on hard landings since the water bottle threads are not centered under the battery.

Solid bike. While I'm not a fan of the cadence sensing for motor control, and the bike does require a bit of tuning on arrival, I'm thoroughly enjoying the bike.

Cons: Tuning I had to do included aligning the disks, tuning the rear derailleur, and am still trying to figure out why the rear brake doesn't grab well and makes a horrible noise. Cadence sensor for motor control does not stack up to torque control (but fair enough, that is typically very expensive). It's a bit heavy to carry up and down a set of stairs each day, but that's expected.

Pros: Throttle response is excellent, the bike is solid. I haven't gone on any long rides to test the range, but it has worked well for my short rides to/from work.

Better than stock

Awesome!

Definitely the best chain that I have ever owned. It is built like a tank and the master link is so smooth you can close it with your fingers. I am using it on my Ludicrous fat bike build and I can't recommend this enough.

This display has very good color as well as easily seen in all light conditions. The display has everything that you would need including the USB charger which is a nice option. This is definitely an upgrade over the other displays

I am loving this bike. This is my first e-bike and I bought from Luna based on word of mouth from a friend. I wanted more power than the standard 250, 500, 750 watt bikes and certainly fits that category. For the money, I don't think there is anything better. The looks and quality of the bike are really good are also very good. I am very happy with my purchase. Thank you Eric and team!

As an owner of 2 Bafang motor sets with several thousand miles on each, it's getting to be tear down and repair time, especially since my BBS02 is one of the earlier models that Bafang improved after I bought mine. Luna Cycles is the best place to get parts for Bafang e-bike kits, and from what I can see, the best place to purchase new kits from also.

Got this for extra speed.

Bought the BBSHD kit and installed it. It's been running fine so far. Added the shift sensor (highly recommend), the luna install tool, the 48t luna chain ring, the spacer kit, and the brake sensors. Bought the programming cable a little later. One of the spacers in the spacer kit wasn't machined quite right and Luna sent a replacement. Also, the mounting arm for the control key pad (selector) for the display (860c) broke and although Luna did not have a replacement, they sold me a new display unit (with keypad) at a great price. All in all, happy with the products and the customer service!!

Great product. Fast and torquey. Well built. Install relatively smooth.
