Service was great , cost was reasonable, the shipping on the other hand wasn’t good , it was missing my front axle nuts and I was careful to look for them , the box came crushed so I imagine that’s where they went, I was also missing the decals but that’s really no big deal. Other than that it was great

Solid reliable raw material for a creative build. I put this on a BMX bike, which was not a straightforward project, but did my research and it all went together as planned based on the specs and info Luna provided.

So far this bike has exceeded my very high expectations. Took it on the beach and could peddle all day in second gear. Felt like I was peddling downhill on a smooth road. It’s a superhero feeling. I plan to take on a trail this week, will review again.

If you’ve built your own Ebike from a conversion kit, one day you will need a multi-meter. Motors, controllers and wire connectors fail eventually. The ability to pinpoint the problem quickly can save you time and money. This meter gets the job done.

I have a 750w, and 1000w mid drive Bafang system and I am extremely happy with the performance of these systems and the technical support from Luna Cycles. Last week I purchased an additional 750w Bafang mid drive system

I wanted a motorcycle after not riding one for over 30 yrs, but the Mrs put stop to that so I went searching for an electric scooter or something. I almost pulled the trigger on a City Slicker, but they had no batteries for any of their cycles in stock which meant their batteries weren't reliable, and then I remembered seeing the Sur Ron on Youtube. I am so glad I made the right decision to buy the Sur Ron as it sits as high as a motorcycle and at a more reasonable price then the other more nicer electric motorcycles out there. Tho this is a motor bike, it works for me! I spent time streetifying the bike and was lucky enough to get my Cal moped license. Reading the threads, folks are having a hard time getting the moped registration in Cal now... I wanted something to enjoy riding around town and feeling the thrill of the wind in my face one again. I'm not into riding off road, at least not yet. I'm done with my mods by adding brake and signal lights, mirrors, phone holder, fenders and lovin my Sur Ron! I am so happy that I decided to buy a mid drive kit. It's amazing how with a little money and an afternoon of work, I was able to convert my old mountain bike into a tool that allows me to go 40-50 miles into my backyard wilderness and enjoy trails and scenery that I'd only seen on a map.

I am very happy with the support I got from Lunacycle. This is my first build and I am not very good with electrical stuff. Most said don't start with the cyclone mid drive but I needed the power of this motor I have a bike with a sidecar. It can be done, if you are willing to put in the time. Thank you Lunacycle and ebike community for your support.

Made all the difference. Now my chain line is perfect and I can pull all 11 gears. Also going from the standard 46 tooth to the 40 made the world of difference on climbing climbing without impacting to end speed. I have an X1 also and the 30 tooth chain ring is just to low for none climbing mode.

I've had my X-1 since October of last year, I'm at over 700 (all trail) miles now, and I couldn't be happier with my bike. I ride trails near my house three days a week, and this bike takes everything I throw at it. I'm stuck in South Florida, a.k.a The Sandbox, so it takes a powerful ebike to power through the soft terrain. The X-1 has completely changed the way I ride. No more walking through sandy patches! I literally kept up with a guy on an 80cc dirt bike through my favorite trails. This bike is fast!

I also want to give a special shout out to Luna support who have been tremendous. In a freak accident, I dropped a multi-meter probe and shorted the charge port on my battery. I was so worried that I'd be on my own for the repair but Luna support sent me troubleshooting details, and even sent me the parts I needed to repair my battery. They didn't have to. It was 100% my fault, but they were helpful anyway. It doesn't get any better than that. Thanks so much guys!

Replacing the controller on my BBS-HD was simpler than redoing the rest of the wiring on my bike (due to shorter wire lengths than my original controller, but still simpler than doing my original wiring). My controller failure was caused by a NON-Luna programming cable, Be Warned that there are mis-wired Bafang programming cables out there that can destroy your controller just by connecting them to your bike. Never have any issues with my Luna programming cable, very much worth the tiny investment to be able to set levels where they make the best of where & how I ride. Well into my third year riding my 2007 Kona Stab Deluxe with a Luna BBS-HD kit, year-round, in all weather, all terrains.

Works as intended. Shows all relevant data in terms of what per hour etc.
