Cold ordered from Luna Cycle and they came through..my fastest speed was 42 mph, outrunning a Prius in town. My wife loved it so much.."how much fun is that" she blurted out after a short test run up a hill..and then she got her own seat during a week when I was gone..lol..

The Sur-Ron is amazing. Fast service from Luna. One bummer, and something Luna should change, is that they say it comes with NO warranty at all. The original manufacturers of the bike and some of the component to (e.g. shock, fork, brakes) would for sure have warranties, but Luna doesn’t support and confirm them.

First time out in the snow. This town may be crippled during the snow, but I feel like I've got the whole city to myself. All-weather riding....so great.

Basic build. Gravity Basecamp 27.5 MTB. Luna BBSHD with 13.5 ah. Shark pack. Easy installation after reviewing online video with the exception of removing bottom bracket which required an impact wrench. Wow! Night and day difference from previous 2 stroke builds. While lacking some of the cool factor, just as fast, much smoother, obviously quieter and hopefully easier to maintain. Hardest part is waiting for the weather to break.

Overall purchasing experience was smooth delivery was also good. Recieved call to confirm delivery date with FedEx freight. Bike is amazing, already customized with mirrors and lighting kit for road use. Going to look like a starter 250 motorcycle when all said and done.

Simple Build.
BBS02 with 52V Battery.
Didn't trust the two bottle cage bolts alone on such a long heavy battery. So I added an additional clamp/bracket to secure the 70 cell pack. Also had to get creative with rear derailleur cable routing and with front fender mounting to suspension fork.

So far the bike has absolutely exceeded my expectations. I believe it has a 20 mph governor initially but it is pretty easy to program. I kept it however and it hovers right around 20 mph.

As a beginner, the tools I wish I would have bought ahead of time are the bracket extracted tool and the spanner wrench.

The bike conversion was for my wife so she could keep up with me on my road bike rides and it has absolutely delivered. On our first ride she blew by me and laughed on the first hill. It's been great for short trips around the city as well. I would highly recommend.

Well I can say that when I ordered the BBSHD Kit, Luna had it shipped in two days. I am a Non DIY guy and put this beauty together in about 2 Hours.

I'm a repeat customer of Luna Cycle .
I bought a Luna cycle battery the first time & then a complete BBSHD kit .
I really , really like the mid drive kit , it has every thing I needed and great options to complete a quality installation on my Mongoose Fat tire bike .
I am very happy with their customer service and message response times for both phone messages and e-mails,.
I had a couple of questions so I called and left a message the first time , they responded back in a very timely manner , the second time I called someone answered the phone immediately , they were friendly and informative , answering my questions completely .
Seb , the Lead CS Electronics technician , was very helpful and responded to my e-mails asap , he sent out the part I needed that same day .
In my opinion the customer service is Top notch for sure .
I highly recommend them for all your electric bike needs .

I love my bike with mini 52 volt mounted on water bottle holder. At the time I tried to by the kit from Luna but they did not have the display I wanted in stock so bought the motor and display from em3ev, but I have purchased my first bbs02 from Luna and the most important is the tool to tighten the motor and some other stuff. This is my lightest electric mountain bike at 44 pounds with the headlight and mirror. It rides so smooth, but I mostly ride on the streets in Little rock. I have gotten over 40 miles on pedal assist 1 and still had juice left.

These things are so amazingly fun. There isn't much they can't do. They charge up in about 3 hours, or less if you don't fully kill the battery. I live in Santa Cruz and have already had some amazing adventures on them.

My only complaint is that before I purchased I wanted to make sure if anything went wrong I had a path for customer service. I was told these are bikes and any bike shop should be able to help. About a month into owning my front axle lock nut came off during a ride (my fault for not checking it before riding). I checked all my local shops (about 6 of them) and the part was a specialty part that none of them carried. When I contacted Luna I was told they would check to see if they had any of them around, but never heard back. I ended up paying $50 for one to be shipped from RST in Taiwan.

Anyway, the bikes are great, the customer service hasn't been awful, but I definitely felt stranded and on my own - which left a bad taste in my mouth considering I've spent over $8000 on products here. Still absolutely recommend the bike itself. It's the most fun thing I've ever owned by a mile.

I guess the first thing should understand is Lunacycle customer service is beyond compare. If you can’t get through they will actually call you back. Thank you Lunacycle

My first mid drive bike I used the bbhd motor kit on fat tires. My second bike I used the smaller mid drive kit. This bike is for my granddaughter to use. This bike has smaller width tires and ls lighter. Both have gun racks and saddlebags .

Luna Cycle is a wealth of information. Everyone seems genuine with their love and enthusiasm, which is contagious. I purchased the Mighty Mini, tools and cables, and will keep purchasing exclusively from Luna for all my ebike needs.

This tired old Intense Uzzi SL did not inspire me to ride anymore. I thought about buying a new bike to keep up with some of my mtb devout friends but other sports, family, and money just kept getting in the way. The dust settled in on the old uzzi and the legs and lungs couldn’t take the occasional ride any longer. Enter the ebike era and my mind opened. Now I can ride Occasionally and still keep up with all the spandex crew. (Actually can blow ride by them if I want) Yeah there are a few dix out there but those are usually the hardcore exercise fiends. Same shit happened when I started kitesurfing, surfers get pissed. I think they’re just jealous because I’m having fun whether I’m going out through the surf or riding a wave and the same goes for the ebike, I’m having fun going up hill as well as down. No noise no pollution, lots of fun. 750 watt bbs02 - a few must upgrades: chainring & brakes.

Always quality equipment and parts from Lima

My Ludicrous is just one of my many purchases from Luna Cycle. There’s no question their products just kick ass. And if you have a issue they are there to help with resources and friendly advice. They also have some of the best prices you will find anywhere.
