Ordering was easy installation of the motor was easy and very well explained! Shipping of the battery took longer than what they said but very happy with the product you guys make the future!

When I saw this frame, a Radon Scart, on a website at a very good price, I was inspired to build an e-bike with that.
So I bought the nude frame and chose all the components with two purposes :
Keep all extremely light, without making a fragile bike.
Avoid chain derailment issues by choosing the right transmission.
For the second point I chose to win easy: lekkie 46t bling ring + shimano xt with shadow plus system + kmc e-bike chain.
For the first point, keeping all as light as possible, there is only one solution : to spend money..
So I chose light and expensive components, like formula cura-e brakes, rock shox paragon fork, a carbon fibre handlebar, dt swiss wheels, a Thompson alloy seatpost tube, and so on..
I tried also to make a good looking bike.
I like it, and it's really light..
The motor, you know, it's powerful, and I can feel and enjoy its power with less weight to carry..

I have done the rubicon trail on motorcycles for years but I have gotton older and the trail has gotten rougher. I took my turner downhill bike with bafang 750 on trail and was totaly surprised how well it worked . So back home ..added 40 tooth cassett and derailer guard. Will try buck lake or rubicon bridge Friday...Wahoo

I have owned my LUNA WOLF ALITE PLUS for 3 weeks, Great Bike with all the power that I need. 259 miles on the odometer with zero problems. Just minor adjustments on the derailleur for chain, cassette and chainring getting use to each other, Hydraulic brakes are absolutely the best .... added the Crane Creek Thudbuster seat post and raised the handlebars up a little to suit my bad back .... would recommend this set up to anyone looking for a hardtail bike with adjustable front forks, Wolfpack battery with magnetic mount . I give it a 5 star *****

It always takes too long to get stuff. I know you guys are busy but unless my orders get processed faster I may look for other sources.

The parts and kits they have are nice, but the shipping is unreasonably slow, It takes on average 2 or more weeks to get anything from them, which can be a major deal breaker if you break something and need it in a hurry.

This was my first DIY e-bike build and the goal was to keep it under $600. The 52v Mighty Mini was the perfect fit for my budget bike at $300. My Electra Cruiser is now "lightly" electric with this 3 lb addition (get it?) but still puts out some serious MPH for such a small battery. Unfortunately I had to give it 4 starts because the Luna 52v mini charger I ordered with the battery arrived defective and so I had to send back for a replacement. After about a dozen charge cycles, appears to be rock solid appears to be well built...time will tell.

1st time ebike build. So far so good. Great online video got me this far without a problem. Battery and final wiring next.

This is an adaptation of an old (1976) Puch 10-speed that works perfectly. I take it 8 miles out and back from work and only use the motor for the last "heart in throat" uphill mile. The motor is so powerful it glides me up this steep hill at 20 mph without peddling. But I still get 50 minutes of moderate exercise a day.

I would have rated this project with 5 stars but only gave 4 because there was NO installation information that came with anything. It made it more of an adventure than it had to be. Not that this stuff is complex, but still. For example, the battery comes with 2 massively powerful magnets, but I had to call Luna to find out that they are for mounting it to water bottle treaded fittings. I ended up bolting the magnets on to the rear luggage rack. The front fork torque bars work great but it took an hour or so figuring out how to shim them properly without any directions. So e-bike kits are still a bit of the wild-west. That's cool, but just a few instructional hints would have helped. I hate to complain though since Luna is great and their equipment is outstanding. And I love my e-bike! Thanks.

A couple of pointers for anyone thinking about converting an old bike like this.

1) You may have to widen the front drop-outs from 9mm to 10mm. Use a grinding bit on a dremel tool. It works great.

2) I would use bilateral torque bars on the front fork, like I did. That motor is 1000 watts and can really man-handle the drop-outs.

3) This old bike has 27 x 1 1/4 rims. I had Luna make up the front hub with 700 c rims. I had to lower the brake pads about 1/2 inch which was no problem. However, you will note that the tire required for the wide rim is quite a bear (700x42). To my surprise, the final wheel diameter with tire was larger that the original wheel even though the 700c rime is slightly smaller. Be aware of this so you can avoid the fear and loathing that I experienced mounting the wheel for the first time and worrying that it wouldn't fit! There is about 1/2 inch between the tire and the inner top of the fork.

4) I like having the battery on the back luggage rack. But it is a heavy load, and not just with the force of gravity but also in the rostro-cuadal direction when you hit the gas. I found the best solution was to get a heavy duty luggage rack (rated at 55 lb) and then bolt everything down very snuggly. I had to drill some bolt holes in the front seat frame to do this right. Now nothing rattles or shimmies.

5) Finally, be aware that the motor really has a lot of torque to deliver to the front wheel which does not have much weight. Hit the gas slowly and beware of rough road bumps that can start a kind of alarming jittering.

That is all. A great conversion and a great discovery. I will ride this every day the weather permit.

I am satisfied with my E bike kit I have rode over 8000 miles between two bikes and wondering how far they will go

It is tough to fit a battery on such a small bike, but a Mighty Mini in a seat bag works great. The Banjo Brothers Large Seat Bag is a good fit. The BBSHD is great. It pulls me up the steapest hills with no problem. And the installation was not that hard.

Wanted to save weight with the BBS02. A somewhat tricky build with the plus size chain stays but the offset crank arms and mighty mini chainring made it work.

Love it so far! The install on the Turner RFX went well and being an XL frame, the battery fit inside triangle without any modifications to the water bottle mounts. I bought the 68mm BB size and only needed one spacer at the chain side of the BB to have the secondary gear housing clear the rear triangle. Having a high-spec mountain bike for this install was critical for me to get the most of the performance of the motor, both ripping on the street commuting to work and out on the trails. ~500km so far without a hitch.

This is my primary commuter for the last 14 months. I have about 2500 miles so far with only needing basic bike maintenance and a recent battery rewire to xt90s after forgetting to lock in the battery and a broken cradle. The 13.5ah shark pack is a beast and still gives me full range. I added a rack, panniers, 40c tires and fenders. I love this bike.

This was my first build and took nearly a year to complete, but with help from Luna it's been a real success. This bike turns a lot of heads and it is so much fun to ride especially when I'm passing cars. It is a heavy bike and will only do 54 km/h on the flats but it really wants to go faster (if only I could get a ludicrous controller!). Running a BBSHD with 52v 17.5 shark pack. Thanks again Luna for making my long time dream a reality!

Finally my commuter is complete.

Easy to find the right spare parts for my motor/battery, community forums are very helpful for advice on repairs. With pictures and a little YouTube magic, I feel like a real bike mechanic.

This BBS HD was my second build project. My first was a 500 W geared hub motor for my wife’s bike. Her bike was very fast off the line but nothing compared to this. This kit is very powerful and easy to install thanks to the tutorial videos supplied by Luna. Everything I needed came with the kit including the spacers for proper chain alignment. I would definitely recommend this kit and I hope to be able to build another in the near future. I am running a 52 tooth cog on the front with a 14 to 28 cogs set on the back. The bike easily petals to 30 mph. I very much appreciated all the options available for this bill including the triangle bag which holds these 17.5 amp shark battery pack.

Love the bike! It is an absolute blast!
