Installation took no time and it looks and performs waaay better than the stock chain ring. Got it at a good price from Luna and am completely satisfied with my purchase. Thanks guys!

This is Lola who follows me everywhere I go. This is my mongoose malus fatbike with luna cycle magic pie conversion. I didnt reinforce my bike rack after this conversion. Result is the front tire and motor fell off the bike rack while doing 70kmph! The only damage was ruined tire and rim and the motor had to be relaced in the new rim. There was no bent axle forks frame or anything else. Kudos to luna cycle and mongoose for solid product. The only reason for 4 stars is I had to quickly get the front wheel off the bike while on the interstate. There should be a quick release in the wiring just as it comes out of the wheel to facilitate this. However, because the fat bike tires hold only 20 psi they seem like they will last a long time and almost never need air, reducing the need to take the wheel off. Still I want that quick release! I am pleased I went with a front wheel install: with the motor in the front wheel battery in the middle and any weight such as a pannier on the rear rack the bike would maintain good balance. Overall an easy install when using a mongoose malus and very pleased with build. Would give 4.5 stars if i could!

I used a 2006 Specialized Enduro Comp as the donor bike for the BBSHD install. The 68mm fit perfectly in the bike BB. Swing arm bolt prevented motor housing from mounting flush against frame. Used two bb spacers. Will grind head of bolt off later. The stock 46T sprocket worked good for chain offset but no so good on hills. Used a 30T Eclipse chainring up front. Works amazing but chain offset too high to use top two gears. Not necessary except for extreme hills. The 52v shark battery was not in stock at the time of this build so I used a 52v 13ah bare cell and built a custom box from a cheap plastic tool box with a custom cut lid and stainless steel water bottle mount system. Zip tied battery for off road security. Works good! Going to upgrade 130mm front shocks to 150mm for clearance. With the extra weight I use every inch of shock travel.
Sooo much fun! I highly recommend the BBSHD for off road conversions!

I purchased an on-off switch from lunacycle. It worked perfectly. I was having trouble disconnecting the wires from the battery with the t-90s connectors all the time. This solved the problem works great

I received my switch very quickly, it looks like it will work well for my needs!

I was wanting a bike for hunting and shed hunting, I’m a diy guy and wanted to build my own. Any way after finding Luna and reading a lot of reviews i contacted Luna as I can’t get all questions answered over emails. One thing I was not sure about was the batteries but they have came s long way. I pulled the trigger on the BBSHD and a Luna eclipse 42 chainring mounted to a framed 2.0, wow this thing rocks does all I need to do and some more. I didn’t want to write a review till I had some miles on bike, I’ve got a 100 on it. Yes hunting is over but me nor my wife can stay off it. We are wanting to build another but can’t decide fat bike or MB as we are not cyclists but we love it. I will do business with Luna again if price stays the same for sure. Oh yea, the first salesman kinda acted eritated with me with all the questions but I was going to spend a lot on this and was wanting to make sure, he got better after third call and knew they had me lol. Anyway I love it. Thanks Luna.

Ordered extra long cables and had an experienced bike and trike mechanic install it. LUNA 52 volt mini-brick battery stored hidden under the seat.

Much searching and ignorance and I still don't wear a helmet. Should. Web is full of e bike stuff, but Luna came late to my eye so I bought stuff from multiple places. Luna has most all the stuff on one site and great info.

This is the most insane electric scooter ever. This things hauls butt! Super fun, Super Fast! Brakes work awesome, and the scooter is SOOO Smooth. Battery last a long time too. Ride for hours and still have a charge! I have owned many electric scooters and I can honestly say this is by far the best scooter I have ever owned. Price seemed high until I rode it. Nothing will come close to this. The quality is superior to anything else out there. LOVE MY LUNA!!!

1957 Schwinn. The tolerances on an school cantilever frame went out to the end. Just enough length in the wiring harness I was pleased when it all tied together. No fault of anyone or anything the handlebars are off an old 70's enduro motorcycle wide spread. I had plenty of other donor bikes on standby. As you can see from the pics it tied in together nicely.
Only problem is I have a permanent grin now. The American BB offset adapters were the ticket, and the magnets that are provided turned out to be pure genius. Thanks Luna folks. After mocking up the build it was time to break out the blue thread sealant and use the proper torque. 48t front chain ring 52v wolf pack BBS02 .

I've carried Montague bikes in my small LSA/kitplane for a couple decades now. Being able to get around after landing somewhere is priceless. Since adding a BBSHD kit to the Montague, it still folds and fits in the plane the exact same way, and in 3 minutes I can have it out and ride off at over 30 mph, and also trail ride, thanks to the 14 speed Rohloff hub. Adding e power to this bike has made a already great setup even better. The plane retains it's ability to land on 10,000' mountain tops, and just about anywhere there is a couple hundred feet of semi clear ground. Being able to scope out a ride from the air, then finding a place to land and making that ride, is.....fun. The bike and plane are helping each other, I'm just along for the ride.

Trek 7500 Hybrid bike. BBSHD with 52 V 24 Amp Triangle pack. Everything worked perfectly. The guides that Luna provides on the website were invaluable in getting everything setup with no hassles. The only issue I had was the Shimano Deore rear downshift lever ran into the RT twist grip throttle. I ended up cutting off a portion of the shifter to allow it to pass by the throttle.
I don't think I needed to use the Hot Rod adjustment on the controller as I am using this on a commuter. Just the same. I took the bike out on a flat section of road and got up to 32 MPH on it in a hurry. I will need to watch the speed so as not to attract blue lights. I may actually get the programming cable and re-program down to normal.
Dealing with the LUNA team was great and they shipped as a complete well packaged and protected unit. Nothing was damaged or an issue on the order. I will buy from them again on my next build.
Don't waste money on buying cheap from someone else. Buy quality at LUNA and save money in the long run.

No complaints, products were shipped quickly and the one time I needed to contact customer support was to cancel a order and they responded very quickly. Very happy with the experience.

My only suggestion would be to include manuals and guides on product pages. Maybe I just missed it, but I had to dig a little for things like the gear sensor for my BBSHD

I have been using front hub motors for a number of years. My last one I bought from luna, a 1000 watt front fat tire motor. It worked fine but the mid drive HD motor is much better. Loads of power. I have a 36 tooth sprocket on the motor and I never pedal. I am 79 and riding this bike with the BBSHD motor is a dream.
