I Love my Sur Ron this bike is amazing for the person who races motocross that wants something that’s electric that’s a dirtbike style. I would compare this bike to a 110 or a 125 pit bike. If you were thinking about getting one just get it right away you will not regret it.

It took me a second to actually pull the trigger on a Sur-Ron. I have never been on an e-bike of any kind or even a mountain bike style bike. So when Luna-Cylce posted that they were taking pre-orders, I took the chance. Surprisingly it was announced to arrive almost 20 days or so earlier than described in the purchase process. Awesome! I have been all smiles since it showed up.
These things are FUN! I purchased mine with the belt drive option as well as the upgraded headlight. The headlight is really bright and the belt drive is relatively very quiet. I order with another Sur-Ron owner with an upgraded chain and it was definitely a lot louder. Luna Cycle definitely adhered the call and delivered! So a big shout out to them. I am waiting on sone re-stocks of some of their parts as these bikes are pretty popular. If your thinking about grabbing one, do yourself a favor and do it. It’s been a blast and I can’t wait to rider it everyday. Treat yourself, don’t cheat yourself.

It's a great value and noticeable upgrade to the standard seat. Still would like a little more padding on the top side. Overall very good.

Much stronger than stock, and adds some side protection! Getting mine powder-coated currently to match my theme

Nice face lift for the X

The Luna X2 was my first foray into E-bikes after a metric ton of research. ...Holy s***!

This bike is a monster and a enormous amount of fun that fulfilled everything I was hoping it would be and more. My father in-law has a specialized turbo levo and the side by side comparison isn't even a fair match. This bike smokes it. I bought it with the Ludicrous mode, and here's the raw difference: Street mode is before you've finished that third cup of coffee, restrained... functional. Still quick to get things done. Ludicrous is slamming three energy drinks while shot-gunning something legal in a few states. It injects life into the bike and slaps it on the a**.

All that said, that's not what impressed me most about the bike. I'm green when it comes to riding a bike, any bike, it's been many, many years. So of course the first day I had it out... BAM wipeout. Slow speed, not one thing I can blame on the bike; it was all user error. But... there's my $4k+ bike laying in the street and me hoping the damage isn't that bad as I swallow some pride and inspect my mistake. The bike was barely scratched it! Even though it landed on it's side on hard asphalt. The build quality and the materials used are choice and I understood in that moment the amount of time, thought and engineering that went into the x-2. Just insane what Luna has accomplished. Bravo.

Sincerely, Not Shill.
Just another redneck in Idaho.

X2 - Awesome. I have been riding MTBs for over 35 years here in the Santa Cruz Mtns. I have a couple if Santa Cruz Hecklers and now this X2 Lud. This is my go to bike. Insane climber -just be in the right gear so you dont hit thermal cutout. Did that first day but not since. If you do knarly downhills with this you will have to jetison those Luna pedals and get some real ones -you know with spikes that keep you connected -the Luna pedals were scary. And that KS dropper, well mine was limp from the factory and after fixing it and refixing it I replaced it with a Oneup so the saddle goes all the way down. Been riding this bike everyday and it has been spectacular. I monitor Motor temp with the VESC iphone app and I can keep it in the 60c or under range using 30-40% PAS. I actually havent even tried higher power. Also if you are used to Brake cutoff on ebikes. -Warning no such animal so dont stand on the pedals when you are stopped with the brake on.

Essential to get the chainring off of the frame. Needed both five-hole spacers and one ring-spacer.
Plasma-cut parts needed cleanup before installation.

waaay cheaper than protaper and it fits my Talaria Sting. definitely better than stock too.

Good bars

Terrible rotors always scraping no matter how much you adjust and get way too hot

Very happy with the bike. Shipping was an expensive chore, but it worked out. Email support was very responsive although didn't have all the answers/information I would have liked before ordering the bike without seeing it in person.

Overall, the bike is great and it's exactly what I was looking for.

After two weeks of near daily use, the bottom bracket is creaking a bit. Nothing too extreme and somewhat normal for a new bike. I've had to bring the bike in to a shop to bleed and fill the brake lines as they were extremely soggy upon arrival and just about the only thing I couldn't fix on my own. The three speed does not shift smoothly under load but will shift if you back pedal slightly. Battery life is much less than advertised. Using 2 and 3 setting I'm getting about 15 miles to the battery life. This is fine for my 6.5 mile commute but I would love to have a bit more range.

The bike came missing the seat post clamp bolt which was a struggle to get replaced (or even get customer service to give me a size).

Overall, the bike rides pretty good and I'm enjoying it. Just know that you'll have to iron out some kinks when you first get the bike. I get quite a few compliments on the bike which is fun. I hope that I can figure out some kind of external battery solution to get a bit more range. It would be nice to take the bike on prolonged trips or at least get the 30+ miles advertised.

Solid bike for the price.

This is my 2nd Luna bike charger an I am very happy with the charger and the quick service from the people at the company!

Perfect fit. Easy install

I feel like this adapter is quite expensive for the quality, and the fact that it is very simple. However, if like most of us you can't make one of these yourself, then this is a must have if you have a press fit bracket on your bike and want to install a motor.

very good ... I received my order on the estimated date and it was what I expected.

Exactly like the original

My battery is very close to my seat tube and I didn’t want to remove the battery every time to charge. I connected the two pieces of the XT60 set of connectors to make a single piece with a male on one end and a female on the other end. I leave this connected to the battery full time so that I can now just easily plug my charger into this pigtail. Very convenient and works like a charm.

There is a lot to be frustrated and sad about in the world, and you could probably find a lot of ways to spend $4300, but holy hell this thing is amazing. It's not a bike, it's not a motorcycle, it's the best of all worlds. I use this to ride into town and grab a meal, and blaze on fire roads and single tracks. There are a million review videos, but just do yourself a favor and buy this thing. It's so customizable too, tons of after market parts, but, even just the standard bike will be enough to get you started.

Only complaint is that for a taller rider (6'1), you definitely need the extenders (foot peg and seat).
