I just installed the Marlin Trigger Kit and Hammer Extension ( separate Review) in my Marlin 336W and I have to say that I am impressed with the quality of the parts. The machining is spot on and fit and finish are Excellent! It went in easily and looks great! I used a Wheeler Engineering Trigger pull scale to see what the pull weight would be. The factory pull with the scale was a whopping 5.75 lbs average. After the trigger and sear swap, the trigger pull is now 3.5 average ( about 8 pulls with the trigger gauge) . Please note that I did NOT use the reduces trigger pull spring. This rifle is for the woods so I like to keep the same feel when I'm in my stand. Overall I would highly recommend this Trigger for your rifle! Fit and Finish are Excellent and it looks Great!!

Got to be the best sights for a .357.

I just installed the Hammer Spur Extension on My 336W and I have to sat that it "fits like a glove"! I had another hammer extension on and it always came loose! This Hammer Spur Extension stays tight! The edges are rounded so it doesn't cut into your thumb, but if you continually pull the trigger with your thumb you'll be a little sore. Overall this is a well made part! I think the attention to detail and fit are top notch! I would highly recommend this part for your Marlin!!!!

Just been plinking, hoping to do a little damage in PA this summer

After a search for a loop lever for my Marlin there were a lot of recommendations for the RPP lever. I wanted a lever loop that would accommodate big paws. The factory was too small and took away from the quick handling aspect of the level action. I was a machinist for some time and have worked in a metal testing lab before becoming a Quality Manager. Working in QC sometimes we deal with the bad stuff so when I get a chance to pass along a good review I make sure I do. When I saw this lever right away it is a nice piece, it is machined very nice and the coating is great. Fitting was not a problem in the 1977 336 Marlin. I was considering the take down screw and had it in my cart. After thinking about I did not see the need for it really. To my surprise I did not remove it from the cart when I place the order. I am glad I made this mistake. With some work in the internal parts and the additions this gun is going from my back up to my primary hunting gun. I will be posting more pictures of the gun on the Marlin Firearms Forum.

After Adjusting the sight, I shot my first 2 inch group at 24 yards ever. Subsequent groups bore this out so it wasn't a fluke. Now I am going to need a 50 yard range...finally having fun after years of frustration. The cloverleaf is teaching me how to aim and shoot well. Amazing. The human eye naturally wants the clearest view and putting the front bead where it is clear through the cloverleaf automatically provides that and in the process (when adjusted) provides repeatable accuracy. Great innovation!

This is on a straight stock 1895G. This loop is the perfect size. It seems like it is just a tad bit narrower than a standard loop on GBL, which is perfect. Fit and finish are excellent. would highly recommend. Worth every penny.

I was slightly intimidated watching the installation video, as Im new to lever guns. The video and instructions are so clear, that I didnt have any difficulty at all. I was appalled at the sharp, jagged and stiff gate that came with my 1895 Trapper. After installation I can load and unload big 45-70 rounds all day without injury.

It took me about an hour to adjust the sights and figure out how to shoot with this new sight. At the end of that hour, I had it sighted in and learned a LOT. Maybe it is just me, but I got the best performance at 24 yds (the range's longest) by using 240gr JFP ammo and NOT freezing and concentrating on the sight alignment. If I relaxed and only concentrated on the muzzle end sight(front), and did it swiftly and smoothly, I finally shot my first 2 inch group at 24yds! NEVER before could I do that with stock sights nor HIViz sights. I will be purchasing the brass version for my 20" Henry. The sight seems to let your mind guide the bead to the center and then you pull the trigger. It is fascinating, but that seems to be what is happening. The bead is not clear unless it is in the center. Additionally, the cloverleaf...although intentionally blurring the target in places, also allows you to know where the target is...as opposed to totally covering it. I only wish the adjustment was a flat screw and not a hex. I forgot to take my hex allen wrench. I keep most necessary screwdrivers in my range bag. The allen wrench is in there now as we speak. ;-) Wonderful and interesting product! From this point on, the flaws will be in the shooter, not the equipment.

The factory trigger in my 1895 trapper was very heavy and, of course, had the notorious flop. RPP trigger kit and spring made the trigger break like a glass rod with much less pressure (I wont guess lbs because I dont have a trigger pull gauge. Its similar to the wonderful trigger in my Ruger Gunsite Scout Rifle, which is a well-tuned bolt action .308. This is the fourth or fifth RPP product Ive purchased and theyve all been great.

I liked the trigger so much on my 308MX that I ordered one for my 1895G... Installed in less than 15 minutes and a 3.4 pound trigger pull and sneaky crisp... Can't wait to get out and shoot it!

I bought a 1960 35 rem. Looked all around for a spur and decided on ranger. I am very happy with the fit and finish. Cant wait for my trigger!

Some people call it a hammer spur, I call it a hammer extension. Lol. The fit and finish is amazing. It has enough grip for those cold hunts in November with gloves on. No problem with the hammer cocking at all. I cant wait to get my trigger in the mail!
