I had never installed any kind of sound dampener before, but found it very easy with Second Skin. The material cuts smoothly and has stayed in place since installation. My door panels no longer rattle and I am able to bump my stereo at louder volumes without being annoyed. People also don't slam my doors as hard as they used to, due to the extra weight. The Door Pack (13.5 sq ft) was enough to thoroughly cover all four doors of my Camry plus the inside of the fuel door, with one full sheet left over. Definitely worth the hundred bucks.

I tend to rely on this stuff for my sound deadening work more than any other product because it’s easy to work with and actual kills sound. Cutting the material is really easy to do with any blade type.

Goes on well. I like the feel and the weight of it. But my Defender 90 soft top is so loud anyway, I can not tell if it is any quieter! I think it will help with heat from the engine bay . I still need to get my top mat (Luxury Liner Pro) on.

Very good quality product! It was a slow process getting the Damplifier Pro cut & pressed into all the contours on the the underside of the hood, but when it was all done, it definitely cut down the aggressive noise level of my very NON-stock 7.3L Powerstroke. Helped inside & out!

This package has been amazing for my 2013 Subaru STi hatch. The 'tin can' sound when driving a WRX/STi that you hear about is definitely real. I almost thought it too good to be true when I read several other reviews and forum threads about the benefits of a quality sound deadening project. I couldn't really find anyone who regretted the project, so I purchased this convenient package directly from Second Skin.

At this point I've done the rear trunk floor, rear hatch, under the rear seat, center console, and front doors. Rear doors are next, then it may be a while until I can take the carpet out and do the floor (I have a 5 month old and a 2 yr old, time is very limited). Even though there's still more I can do, there is a noticeable improvement in road noise, exhaust drone, transmission whine, and speaker sound quality. Just remember that the sources of noise make a bigger impact than this sound insulation. For example, I have the Ark GRiP exhaust, one of the exhausts with less drone, which may or may not have a cutout for more fun noises (if it does, it's only installed when off road... of course...). The transmission whine was likely introduced by the previous owner with the Group N transmission mounts, but is quieter now with the insulation installed. Of course, it's not like converting a Subaru into a Lexus levels of quiet - while that may be possible, it's likely not within my expertise or budget. I'd say that before, my STi sounds like a really cheap, hollow rental car, and now it's somewhere in that mid-tier car quality between a cheap rental car and a Lexus. Maybe like a Camry I guess. If the wife complains less, that's a win in my book. Now, she only complains about my Ohlins coilovers, even though they're on full soft. But that's a different story.

The Damplifier Pro is a piece of cake to work with. I aimed for at least 80% coverage, which is more than you need, but I wanted to error on the quieter side, as it fit within my budget. The Luxury Liner Pro is also awesome to work with and good, thick stuff, but it did take more time and revisions to get to fit within door/hatch trim. I'd usually start with too much LLP because its recommended to have that as completely sealed as possible, so I'd have to take the door panel off again, trim some away from certain spots, and reinstall the door trim. But some other areas like under the shift boot had lots of room, so I stuffed as much LLP as I could in there.

I've had a delightful experience with Second Skin. I needed to get a Sprinter Van sound-proofed and insulated. And, I did not know the first thing about these. Sturgeon Christie was an excellent resource through the entire process - he listened to understand our goals, helped through the purchase, timed the delivery. He was very patient and informative. We have two large (3 sink, and 2 sink) commercial sinks in our catering kitchen. The sinks back up to office space, and we are trying to minimize as much as possible the translated noise from our washing up. We are thrilled with the results!

Was skeptical on how easy this would apply at first. But after getting the prep work done and spraying the first coat on my firewall it was a breeze! Love how easy it goes on and how the final product looks. Be warned make sure you tape absolutely anything off that you don't want this on. I also found that spraying the floor down with water helps aa lot with cleaning up overspray!

HI, I am restoring a 63 VW bus and needed to quite down the inside. I bought there 2lb version of the Mass Loaded Vinyl and let me tell you , this stuff is top quality. Very heavy but easy to work with. I haven’t finished the bus yet so I dont have any photos but they will come. If anyone needs a quality product like this you can trust Luxury Liner will do the job
