Super sound deadening product

Works excellent. Changed my dump truck from nearly unbearable to be in to quiet enough to be able to talk to a passenger.

I've replaced by old furnace with a new heat-pump system, being able to deliver a lot less BTU/h it turns on for longer periods of time and more often. I'm a bit unfortunate in that my furnace is in the garage separated by single wall from family room and there is very short return air duct linking both. Previous furnace was quite noisy, but it turned on for 5-10 minutes an hour at worst times so it was bearable. The heat-pump on the other hand is very quiet, but still humms and for times longer enough to become a nuisance.
My idea was to try to apply sound absorbent to air return as this is the main source of noise. Using cellphone I've measured background noise at around 33dB, and with heat-pump on lowest settings it got to 39dB.
Before trying EcoVerb I tried applying some sound foam I had laying around to the air return and was able to get noise down only to 37dB. Which was noticeable, but not enough.
So I ordered 1" EcoVerb and applied it as far into air return as I could reach (had to almost crawl into it and really stretch my arms). I've opted to use strings and staple gun to attach it to the walls of air return as I didn't want to deal with possible mess I get from the glue if I ever need to remove it.
At the same time I shaped right angle of air return into a more rounded shape as it as well decreases static pressure and noise that comes with it.
My final results a mere 34dB of noise, it's much-much better to the point that now I need to deal with outdoor unit as it produces more sound that heat-pump itself.
I'm also planning to cover the rest of air return in summer, when its more warm as I'll need to disassemble air return and do that part from the other side.

Extremely easy to apply , Coverage was great, Clean up is a breeze with soap and water. I used both Sound deadener and Firewall, I applied the Firewall over the Sound deadener.

The product is easy to clean any drops, easy to wash off skin (no matter how hard I try, I always get messy when doing almost anything, ha), and easy to clean from the brush, just plain water. Plus, no smell and if applied as directed, no runs (if do get one, tap off the paint on the brush into the bucket and then tap the brush on the run to pick up some of the excess).

The packaging is really nice compared to other products out there. The megazorb sticky backing is no joke. All quality materials and the staff was helpful when asking them all types of questions. So far with my doors roof and floor done there is a huge reduction in road noise!

Great product. Works well with just one lair. Stick’s to clean surface great, use of a heat gun makes it that much easier.

This material does a wonderful job of insulating both sound and heat. In my case, I used it for some high-rise pipes feeding an HVAC system. It was easy to cut to size and shape and fix with zip ties.

Product is great, but the adhesive can be tricky to work with if not careful as it can peel away from the foam. But the noise dampening effect is unbelievable!

I put Spectrum sound deadening all over the interior of a 1993 Toyota pickup while i was replacing carpet and interior parts. I was unsure at first how much this stuff would actually help but so far I've been very impressed! My truck is way more solid feeling and quieter. Feels like a truck again instead of a tin can.
