I really like the volunteer opportunities that have thorough descriptions on the living situation and the surrounding area.
It'd be nice if they also included helpful secondary skills next to the service requested. Like perhaps a teaching position would be aided if the teacher if skilled in carpentry, painting, electrical, artwork, computer programs, etc... I'm sure many places in need of help often have secondary side projects that could be aided!

Everyone has been very nice, but communication is very confusing between Gap Year and Volunteer World. I haven't felt clearly informed about who is who and who is my contact person. Additionally, there have been "reply" or "contact" windows along the way which simply haven't worked.

I was accepted to volunteer for one of your organizations. After a month the person I was talking to via your platform stop answer. I found a new and real contact of the official website of the same organisation. Apparently the person you put me in contact didnt exist or dont work for them. So to whom do I pay wia your website and how i am supose to react ??!
