Ordering a 70"x20" red oak buffet top was easy and clear. It was stained and clear-coated at the Hardwood Lumber Co. It's this top the makes the buffet cabinet an excellent-looking furniture - like frosting on the cake. This saved me a lot of time and since I could not joint and plane a 20" wide top, I will be a returning as a customer for next project needing a beautiful top.

I want you to know that I was very impressed with your customer service. Martha Mae listened to me and how we had a damaged tread and needed a replacement right away. Martha Mae made every effort to get me the stair treads. She was able to get the treads sent out the same day I called and they arrived the next day. The treads themselves were high quality and we will definitely be ordering from your company again. They were nicer then the treads we had bought from another company. The hickory stair tread had a large hole/knot in the middle of it, requiring filler and so was not of acceptable quality. UPDATE - the company sent a quality replacement piece, I am very pleased with their timely customer service response, highly recommend!

The ordering process was a breeze, in all honesty. There was, however, a long wait between updates how my cutting board was coming along. I was patient because I understand you have many other customers to deal with. My main suggestion would be more transparency about what step in the process the items we purchase are in, especially since a cutting board that should have had a 2-week turnaround took about 7 and a half.

My wife and I ordered a cherrywood shelf for our kitchen to match a set we had found online. We sent HLC the dimensions and how we wanted it to look. The shelf we received was absolutely perfect. They know what they're doing and they do it well. The cost was a little higher than I initially expected, but you definitely get what you pay for. I would recommend them in a heartbeat.
