We absolutely love our cherry butcher block tops! We decided to go with the poly, and I"m glad we did- I could never have gotten the smooth, satin-like finish on my own. The tops came exactly per my specifications, and more quickly than I expected. They've been installed for 3 months now and they're holding up beautifully. I can't wait to see how they age.

Received exactly what I expected. It's a great high quality butcher block countertop.

The shelf is beautiful and the floating shelf hardware worked well. Installation was a breeze, though it was very helped to have my sons’ help as the shelf and bracket were quite heavy. We were lucky enough to find studs that lined up with all the screw holes on the bracket which allowed me to feel very secure about the installation.

The overall ordering experience was very good. I had a little trouble indicating some details on the website (edge detail for only one of the edges, how much space should be allowed on the right and left to fit in an area with cabinets on both sides) but was able to clear them up after calling Customer Service who was very helpful with the website questions, as well as other concerns (did the website photo show a sample with or without stain). With all questions answered, I was able to proceed with ordering my walnut countertop online. Delivery was about 2 weeks earlier than expected which was fine, though I wish the estimated delivery date had been more accurate. I had been considering going out of town for Christmas, but thankfully I decided to stay home and that's when the countertop arrived. It also was raining that day, so it was a good thing that I was here. One thing that I was told would happen didn't turn out to be true. I had expected to be required to sign for the delivery, giving me an opportunity to inspect it for damage before accepting it. That didn't happen, it was shipped by FedEx (instead of Brake as Customer Service said) and was left on the porch with no signature required - luckily there was no damage. That all brings me to the countertop itself, which is beautiful, high quality and fits perfectly. It's exactly what I wanted for a desk area near the kitchen.

I ordered late, but HLC delivered my maple cutting board before Xmas. Very nice board. I’ve ordered twice from HLC, and both times I’ve been very pleased.

I am so happy with my countertop! All I had were dimensions to replace a missing countertop, and with the customer chat the team there were able to answer all my silly questions. They even clarified information about my order before starting, if they hadn't thought of what they had, I would have had a hard time installing my piece. Overall, great experience and highly recommend!

We have been planning a kitchen reno for about 12 mos. and knew that natural wood countertops would be an integral piece of the design in our 1950s home. Working initially with our kitchen designer and then Julie @ Hardwood Lumber allowed us to feel confident that this project would encapsulate the overall aesthetic we were looking for. Julie was very patient as we worked through some complexities in the layout due to cabinet constraints, as well as the top having both a cutout and router profile that would hold a secondary stone top and flush cooktop appliance within the wood counter. Very accommodating to our wishes, and great communication during the planning and production process. Great customer service does still exist, especially if you are looking for a custom wood countertop for an upcoming project.

Super frustrated. I ordered this on Nov 30th with the idea I would receive for Christmas. My tracking says it will now be delivered 12/29. 😡

I understand it’s the holiday season, but don’t advertise something that you cannot deliver.

The experience was stunning. The website was very very easy to compare sizes, material, to see what was in my budget. The notices of manufacturing progress was really special. The delivery is scheduled days ahead of estimates. My phone calls were equally special.

I am very pleased with Hardwood Lumber Co. I ordered some stair tread samples for a planned tread replacement project. The samples arrived within about ten days and were well packaged. The samples are larger than I was expecting, and that is a good thing. I am presently trying to decide on the species and finish with my wife before we order the treads for the project.
