It's easy to use and a reasonable size (about the same size, maybe shorter than a 2L bottle of water). The functionality is great, and it does its job well.I appreciate that you have a little window to see how much water has been collected throughout the weeks, it is definitely of-value.

Pro Breeze Osmo Dehumidifier:I think this is on the cusp of being over engineered but they stop at the right point before this became an impractical product.A more basic design could have worked just as well, but it wouldn't have been as eye catching as this.The way I see this product is that its purpose is to maintain a small area like a cupboard or box room... maybe even a caravan. I don't think that it works fast enough to make a different to a large room in a reduced space of time.Yes it will keep absorbing water out of the air over time, but maybe you want something that is going to quickly reduce the humidity of the room within the next 2 hours.... this wouldn't be the right product for that task.It still gets 5 stars though because it is not claiming things that it cannot do.It is definitely a no power, silent option to dehumidifying a room and will suit those that are looking for that.

This is exactly what my en-suite, something to help with condensation in there, it's completely silent and does not need any power. I like how the refill tablets are not expensive either.

It's OK....but blocks are expensive.

I've been using the Pro Breeze 1000ml dehumidifier for about a month in my bathroom and sometimes in the bedroom. It's super light and easy to move around and I like the LED lights--it makes it look a bit nicer than a boring appliance. The noise is very low so I can leave it on at night without it bothering me. It does a good job keeping the air less humid in small spaces especially after a shower. The auto shut-off when the tank is full is handy and the 4-hour timer is useful if I don't want it running all day. But honestly if the room is very damp or has mold problems already it won't fix that completely. It's more for maintaining dryness than solving big humidity issues. Also it takes a while to collect a full tank of water. Overall it's a nice little machine for light daily use but not powerful enough for serious moisture problems. Pros: Quiet portable nice design easy to use Cons: Not strong for very damp rooms small tank capacity

Didnt fit for purpose

This arrived well packaged it is simple to put together the block has a slight scent but not unpleasant but a week on and not even a smidgen of moisture and I've placed the unit in a damp room. I was really hopeful that this dehumidifier would work at least take the worst out of the room but it's as dry as the day I set it up I am so disappointed. A worrying thing is it is advised to wear gloves when handling the block so this probably would not be safe around small children.

I got this dehumidifier in blue and I must say that it's a very smart looking unit. It's probably a bit wasted on me as I use it in my shed to protect the medical equipment I store in there but the fact that it will last around 100 days was very appealing. The size is quite discrete and I think it wouldn't look out of place in any room. I also like that it comes in different colours so it can be coordinated with your decor. The principle by which it works is similar to the disposable ones you get from the supermarket but the difference is that you can buy refills for this one so it's a bit more eco friendly than throwing away the whole unit. The block in this one absorbs the moisture in the air and it then drips into the lower chamber. Once it's full you can pour the liquid into the drain so it's also very easy to use. Because it works by using an absorbent block it doesn't need to be plugged in and there is no noise or smell from it so it can be placed anywhere even if there is no power available. Although it's on offer at the moment for around £19 it's still a little expensive in my opinion. The refill blocks are also available from Amazon at £9.99 for two and if you do get 100 days from each one you should only need about 3 per year so it's not bad value for money overall even if the initial outlay is a bit more than I would like.

I got this for my son's wardrobe which backs onto an external wall that tends to stay a bit damp especially during colder months. It's not wet to the touch or anything but clothes can end up feeling a little musty if they're left too long. I didn't want to run a plug-in dehumidifier for such a small space so this seemed like a more practical option. It works using a single tablet that slowly dissolves as it pulls moisture from the air. Once that tablet's gone you'll need to replace it. The unit itself is basically a container that holds the tablet and catches the water. Pretty simple setup but it does what it's meant to. It's compact quiet (since it doesn't use power) and doesn't look like a piece of equipment. There's a little window so you can see how much water it's collected and it's easy enough to empty. I've noticed that the wardrobe doesn't smell damp anymore and nothing has felt clammy since I put this in. They say the tablet lasts up to 100 days though I imagine that depends on how much moisture it's dealing with. I'll probably need to replace it a bit sooner but it's still less wasteful than constantly tossing those smaller plastic tubs. One thing that's not totally clear is what to do if the tank fills up before the tablet's fully dissolved but I've just been tipping the water out and leaving it in place. It won't solve bigger damp problems but for a small enclosed space like a wardrobe it's been quietly getting on with the job.

My pantry opens off my kitchen, and although it's generally dry, I find that I need to use absorbant dehumidifiers to be sure it keeps dry for my food storage - particularly in wet weather or if I've been cooking something that generates a lot of steam.This smart blue-cased absorber is perfect for the job. It's as described and pictured. It doesn't take any power, and looks good: much better than the disposable versions you can get from the supermarket. It's easy to take apart for loading or cleaning. It's ideal for my pantry or any smallish space that you might want to keep dry: I have something similar that I use in my car in winter, and it's very effective.The listing and instructions say one of the blocks will last for 100 days after the block has fully dissolved, although obviously that will depend on the moisure levels and it also says to empty and replace if the collection chamber shows as full. I've checked on the disposal, and found that Calcium chloride (the chemical in the block that gets dissolved in the water the unit collects) can be safely poured away via the sink drain. It doesn't say what to do if the chamber is full but the block still not fully dissolved - and don't even know if that could happen - but I think the commonsense answer is to empty the water chamber and carry on using.I do think the unit is a bit expensive, smart though it is, at the current price of £18.99 for what is essentially a plastic tub; so I've docked a star for value. I saw a different brand similar item and have had it on my wish list for a while. This one is designed very similarly with a large tablet that absorbs the moisture the water trickling down and the spout at the back for easy pouring once full. What's great about it is there's no electrical cost or noise. Haven't noticed a smell but it functions and is already doing its thing. I like the design it's simplicity at its best. £24.99 for this and 1 tablet then £9.99 for 2 refills. I think that is a fair price though I can see currently there's a deal on it so even better. I like that the tablet isn't coloured I've had machines in the past that had blue ones and it's messy. All in all a good experience.

We have owned an excellent ProBreeze mains powered dehumidifier before so already trust the brand and were interested in seeing what this very different device would do.Unlike some silica based dehumidifiers - where you can dry out and thereby "reactivate" the sachet in dry sunlight or a microwave (the latter of course re-releasing the moisture into your kitchen!), this product, like most of those hanging plastic bags types for wardrobes, rely on a single-use tablet which is destroyed in the process. It's that (large) tablet, and that alone, which removes the water from the air; the rest of the unit is, basically, a cage to hold the tablet and a bucket to catch the water. No tablet, no work!None of that is a criticism. It's well designed, looks good, and works. Replacement tablets, at £5 each, work for "up to" 100 days, but that of course depends on humidity levels; higher humidity, shorter life.In the end it depends on what you need. Our back bedroom, with damp walls and mould, needed a cabin suitcase sized electric dehumidifier; this little unit would be overwhelmed. For a small airing cupboard, wardrobe, or toilet, though, this could be just what you need.So my advice is: research what you need. If it's something like this, I can heartily recommend it.
