The product arrived promptly. The instructions for set-up were mostly easy to follow. There was conflicting advice about plugging into a power strip. One set of directions said not to do so, another said to use a power strip. The most disappointing thing was the poor sound quality. My 92 yr old mother in law is not able to understand what the people are saying to her. She is not otherwise hard of hearing, and is mentally sharp. The answering service people seem to be speaking clearly without difficult accents. It is just the lack of fidelity of the voice through the speaker. We are going to be doing a lot of test calls to try to accustom the subscriber to the sound of the answering service.

My mom passed away. I no longer need the system.
.
The alarm that is to be worn around your neck is really too large and too easy to be set off . I would like a wrist band alarm to be worn as a wrist watch. Is one available?

I have found my Medical Care Alert pendant to be very sensitive, often noting a fall when none has occurred. But what really matters is that when there really is a fall, I get a response immediately. And I am happy that if an accident occurs anywhere, I can be found. So much better than dealing with a phone.
We have never had to use it. But always had excellent response and serviceWhen testing or had a question. Jane

Your service is very professional and has enabled me to know when my mother has a health issue, even though I live 2 hours away - thank you for that peace of mind!
.
I already have recommended you. When I was renovating my apartment and living at a friend's place, you notified me because you noticed my system was not connected. Yes, i surely would recommend you.

My mother is the one who has the medical alert. We have been and are very pleased with the service given, even one time when the button was pushed accidentally and emergency responders went to check on her when she was at a church lunch. All your staff has been quick to respond, helpful and respectful to both my mother and to me. Thank you for the good service you give! -Barb H
I am very pleased with your attentiveness. My mother used her button when she recently had a fall. Your response was immediate. Everything went smoothly. Thank you.

I have already recommended Medical Alert to numerous friends. I feel that my Medical Alert may have saved my life six weeks ago. I fell face down on my driveway after losing my balance by stepping on a pinecone. I am 84 years old and live alone. I called for help to no avail. I heard a voice say, "Medical Alert detected a fall. Are you alright." I responded, "No." The alert said, "Are you at home?" I responded, "Yes. On my driveway and bleeding from my head." The alert said, "Do you want me to call 911?" I said, "Yes, please hurry." Within five minutes the emergency crews arrived and transported me to the hospital emergency room. Fortunately, I live close to the hospital. I spent the night in ER and received 15 stitches in my forehead, many X-Rays and two CT Scans. I wear my alert during all of my waking hours. Thank you Medical Alert.

Easy to wear and gives one much safety comfort.
It has been difficult to get my mother-in-law to consistently wear and use her Medical Alert pendant. I feel certain that she has not done the weekly checks. They would be better initiated from the company's end in cases like hers. Most recently, she fell while wearing the pendant, drug herself to her phone and called the neighbor herself! She's in rehab after having her broken leg repaired. We need to put her monitoring on hold until she is discharged home. How do we do that?

At my request, you sent me an info booklet. I selected your Duo system and was told I was getting a discounted price of $439. When the equipment arrived it contained only a cradle charger and a pendant. I immediately called to see why I received no base station or wrist button. Your rep advised that those items were more expensive, despite the fact that your booklet shows a base station and a choice of wrist button or pendant, all at a price of $443.40. This is deceptive if not dishonest. This June, I contacted your office, inquired about switching to a wrist button if I were to renew with you in August. Your rep told me that you don't have wrist buttons yet, but she'd be happy to put me on your waiting list and I'd be contacted when you have them. These two incidents are insulting to one's intelligence and its hard to believe you can operate so shamefully. I will not renew with you in August, nor would I recommend you to anyone. Please let me know about your procedure for returning equipment.

On my last alert I had they called to check to make sure all was well' I feel like as soon as I signed up with your person( she was really good) I got lost. When I call to check in it takes a little to long for someone to answer I know these seem minor & maybe they are but that's how I feel Barbara
